Well at this moment in time my folks house is about to be dead smack in the middle of the eye. They've been getting walloped with the eye wall for a bit now. Luckily they just happened to be in Disney World while all this is unfolding.

I feel ya man, I come from midwest. Atleast with a hurricane you have several day notice. Starting to get worse now.

Woke up to this being right on top of us now. Lots of rain, wind gusts to 50ish. Oldest daughter is without power, she lives 3 miles away. Seems like we dodged the bullet. South Florida got it much worse.

Be careful cleaning that one up - from the looks of the way it's laying my guess is that when you cut the main trunk the stump will very likely "stand up" in a big hurry.

Glad to hear you made it out ok. I was thinking about you guys. My parents were at Disney's Wilderness Lodge safe and sound but unfortunately their house in Naples was completely obliterated. It was a 70's trailer and was opened like a can of sardines. Roof, lanai and utility room gone. My mom is beside herself. According to her nobody would insure it so they don't have insurance they're kind of fucked. My sister is going down next week to see about Fema stuff but I don't know. So far the only thing we do know is it looks like they're staying with me for the winter.
