DIY with Quantum Boards

BANANA20 works on HLG 65 too

260W kit will give a great spread. QB288 based 260W kit gave me min 86 watts , max 285 watts. at max it is too powerful and your grow space will look dead like Venus or Mars. dim it to min and increase as needed.

135W kit will work too. spread will not be ideal.

2 of the 65W kits will work fine and good spread.

Or you can buy slate 2 double and DIY. slate 2 double has holes to mount HLG-120H- , HLG-150H-, HLG-185H-, HLG-240H- drivers. Driver guides on website.
Thanks,

First time giving the green thumb a try. Im sorry if this is a dumb question but i just set up my boards in my 4x4 space and they are soooo bright. Wipl these burn my plants? How far from the top canopy do you guys recommend and should i leave them turned down maybe 50% for veg amd 100% during flower? Im only doing two plants at a time.

Running 2 x 260w qb304 boards 3000k

That's bright! Is your space a tent or some other enclosure with reflective sides? If so, I'd mount them at least 24"-30" above the top of your canopy. This way the plants can harden off to the light intensity as they grow up.

24" is good for flower 30+ for early veg

You can Dim them down to 50%-70% to start with in Veg. Increase power and the plants built up roots/grow and can use more light without stress.

Thanks for the advice guys yes it is a tent. I just set everything up and im noticing the temps are already pretty high. 90 degrees right now and about 38% humidity. trying to figure out how to drop the temps as of right now before i put any plants in there. I do have a 6 inch fan and filter combo maybe I have it set up wrong
The plants themselves will reduce temps a fair amount just because they transpire a lot of water as they grow. They'll boost the RH as well.

What's the temp outside the tent in the room? If it's hot in the room it's going to be hot in tent.

Keeping the drivers outside of the tents will be determined by your environment. If your running into temps being a little low, especially with fall and winter coming, keeping the driver/s in the tent can help add a little warmth.

The temp in the room jumped to 79 after having the lights on for while. Im going to experiment with ac in the room this week and see if i can dial things in. Maybe a tower fan inside the tent?Temps in the room were prob About 77 when i turned them on. Its a pretty warm space in General but after the boards were on for about 45 it climbed fast. Both the tent and the room very warm. Id like to figure this out before i plant anything

You want to be between 80-85 so that sounds perfect
