The planet's human population is larger than the long term carrying capacity by a factor of ten or more.

It's suicidally insane to force people to have babies they don't want- and then leave them with the burden of raising them themselves, without assistance.

Birth control must be easy, painless, free and accessible. If it is, abortion rates will fall of their own accord. Women aren't stupid nor do they need or want to suffer; if there are alternatives to an abortion they'll use them.

Frankly, men must never be allowed to have the final say in the decision.

I also think society should cut women a nice fat check for getting their tubes tied.

oh really we do?..when was the last time you put a rubber on it? the last time a women asked you to put a rubber on it what did you say?
I always put a rubber on it. And I don't ask. No more kids and I don't want a vasectomy. The urethane ones are pretty good. I don't much care for latex. Latex sometimes break too.

Dude.

Tubes tied is much more involved than vasectomy. I don't want a vasectomy so the rubber always goes on. The pill fucks up a woman's hormones and should be her option. Some can't handle it. I had one girlfriend who said the pill was better than the cramps for her.

Besides, the rubber protects against. STD. So, it always goes on unless I'm ready for a kid.

I don't think it should be punished like murder but yes I do think the killing of an unborn human baby out of pure convenience (99%+ of abortions) is wrong
Thanks for clarifying. I don't think it should be punished at all, but there is obviously a moral aspect here. But it is the woman's moral struggle, a matter of opinion, and not suitable for criminalization.

Abortion is a service provided by a doctor. In that respect, it is in the realm of healthcare services. Also, if we are talking literally "taking care of health issues = healthcare," then likely yes, as abortion is often done to protect the life/health of the mother.
yep. let's not forget the private association of the patient, the doctor and the Hippocratic oath. complex issue.

implying birth control is not easy, free, painless and accessible now?

I've gotten free rubbers at the health department.....pretty simple, didn't cost me a dime.

cutting checks to pay for tubes being tied happens a lot also, pretty sure Medicaid covers that but I might be wrong.
