It's been a really wet summer for me. My Triangle Kush Cookies X Nightcap X Sinmint X Shit/Skunk has some rot on the lower limbs where it was in the weeds. But seeds are looking really developed for only about a week or so out from pollen chunk. Looks like it will be a race to get the seeds ready.

Moving slow like that {10mph} it has lots of time to get stronger before it hits. Looks like it's going to be a major hurricane before landfall. Then it's going to turn and go along the coast toward La. Slow moving storms lead to flooding.

That's what i understand. My grandparents used to live in South Texas and i was down there for a big hurricane once. The flooding didn't completely subside for weeks.
This one sounds worse. Having been through many hurricanes (weird for a longtime Colorado resident to say that, but it's true lol), I think the flooding and extended power outages are worse than the headline event. Both last a lot longer and the flooding is usually more destructive.

Most of this rain will go right back out to sea though. From the projected path, it's not going far inland. But if it sits over Houston for a couple three days, they will be underwater.

We had a good two hour thunderstorm last night. Lots of dry thunder and lightning before it finally rained.
It's a cooler day today. 10 degrees cooler. At 1700 it's partly cloud, 86F with 73% humidity. The forecast high/low is 88/72F with 20% chance of rain.
Harvey is keeping our little low pressure event from spinning up. He is still dropping rain on water logged Texas.

We've had a couple three days without rain here as well. Some pop up showers around, but I didn't catch one at the farm. Was clear early when I took my hypothetical walk. At 1645 it partly cloudy, 85F with 65% humidity. Forecast high/low of 87/71F with 10% chance of rain. My 10 day is showing high 80's and low 70's. Still a chance of thunderstorms most days. I'm torn on what to wish for. I have plenty that could use the rain, but all three of my shit/skunk have some rot going on, just 3-4 weeks in. Maybe if it would be dry at the FP patch and rain everywhere else. As long as I'm wishing. . . .

Too many stayed put. It's always like that when it's been a long time since the last big one. {not that I can talk, I've never left for one}
I heard one guy on the radio say he didn't know it was going to flood. If me and you were talking about it last week, I'm pretty sure some of the local TV stations mentioned there was going to be 30-50 inches of rain.

It's a little cooler here. I stayed at the camp last night, and it was already down to 79F when I went in the tent about 2200. I used the sheet the whole night. Wednesday night it didn't get below 80F until just before daylight and I didn't really pull the sheet up over me until I woke up the next morning.
