Racism is systematic oppression and discrimination based on perceived genetic inferiority. In our society, white people are not victims of racism. There could be a day when it becomes possible, but currently it is not the case.

So, what's the deal with @shorelineOG ? We were trying to have a reasonable discussion regarding the meaning of the word racism. All was good and then he shows up just to troll. Is even discussing race issues like raising a red kerchief? If he had stuck to a rational argument about his own views, I would have been OK with talking to him. Within a post or two, it seems to me that he just lost the ability to hold a rational conversation and started trolling.

People with beliefs you describe aren't a problem unless the racist has power to act on their beliefs. Some differentiate this as malignant racism, I think it's simpler to just include the power component into the term racism. In that light, in the US where nearly 70% of the population are white, there are virtually no black or brown people that are racist. This could be different in South Africa, although, don't white people still control most of that country's wealth?

Racism is bad everyone has the power to buy a gun, knife, baseball bat, crowbar, etc. Etc. To murder a person of the race they hate. I don't think it's OK to beat up a white person just for being white.

Being poor does not make you powerless and not all black people are poor just like millions of white people are actually poor.
