Instead of flailing around looking for any excuse to blame others, maybe Democrats should look themselves in the mirror and acknowledge that their candidate lost to the least popular winning candidate in modern times and then ask themselves how they can avoid doing that again.
But whining about how they got cheated by the EC or that 'Bernie babies' didn't vote for her 'like they were supposed to' are stupid, self serving and presumptuous arguments that ignore the fact that their candidate SUCKED, nevermind the obvious scandal of the public perception that she got the nomination with the benefit of behind the scenes shenanigans. Whatever the reality, the perception was enough.
Finally, even the legal representation for the Democratic Party in the related lawsuit came right out and said that the party can choose its nominees any way it wants, including via deals in smoky back rooms, while ignoring the will of its constituents.
They can- and they can suffer the consequences, too.
The longer Democrats and their apologists here attempt to blame others for their loss, the longer they'll look weak, powerless, out of touch and worst of all, unwilling to change.
Somehow, I don't think that's a winning strategy going forward.

I'm just pointing out the 'listen to the people' part is broken, if you believe the polls @Padawanbater2 freqently posts.
The majority can want and support things that have zero chance of getting through.
We're stuck in a ditch on the right side of the road right now.
And plan on needing +5% to +10% more votes to be declared the winner.
+2.1% didn't cut it last time.

Time for someone else to take the wheel.
I suggest actually listening to the constituents next time.
Frankly, events at large and the discussion in here have convinced me that the system is fucked and we're all headed off the cliff.
Mother Nature is going to shake us off like a bad case of fleas- after we're done causing the greatest extinction event since the Cambrian Break.

My contention is that the Democratic Party drove themselves into that ditch by;
- Failing to listen to their constituents
- Ignoring down ticket races for several terms, leading to the loss of over 1000 seats in the last 8 years
- Perceived abuses in the nomination process including the 'superdelegate' bullshit
- Taking corporate money and thereby failing to differentiate themselves from the opposition
