Switching to the ACMPR will not affect your standing in the class action. Your privacy was breached, that doesn't change by joining the new program. I am mmar too and as far as I'm concerned I'm grandfathered for life - at least I'm going to act like I am!I'm not sure I understand your point cannadan. Are you saying if you leave the MMAR and go into the ACMPR you'll no longer be able to be in the class action? That question would need to be brought up to those McMaster Lawyers in my opinion because many people might be thinking that too and may not register through McMaster's for that reason. But what if that's not the case and they stayed away from registering in the class action. Then they would lose out. Right now I am still in the MMAR...for how much longer I'm not sure. Hopefully for awhile though as that new system is downright evil.
Just wondering how they responded cause I have registered on there webpage 3 times and haven't heard a word. I was beginning to think this registration was a white whale lolThey responded to me and told me to go and look at their website for the update. Here it is...
UPDATE: JUNE 23, 2017
We attended the Case Management Conference (“CMC”) with counsel at the Federal Court on June 19, 2017. At the CMC, a hearing date to settle the terms of the Certification Order and issuing Notice to potential class members, was set for September 8, 2017. Please check back in late September for a further update.
Would be nice, but it ain't gonna happen. Government workers don't get fired for fucking up. This is going to cost taxpayers millions of dollars and Jane or Joe Fukup will continue to get raises and bonuses and retire with a fat taxpayer funded pension.and I think its most important that who ever ok'ed the mail out envelope be held accountable for that decision
