Title says it all, what's the best you have ever had and how many hits? Looking for the elusive "one hitter quitter". OG #18 here. 2 hits would have been enough.

Don't think there is a one hitter. If its that good I would have to hit it again.
Don't know the strain but smoked it when I was a teenager. It gave me visuals. Been looking ever since.

Maybe look into sativa leaning Lemon Thai /diesel crosses.
I don't know how you define visuals. But many phenos of the strains I have been growing have the bright technicolor effect where color becomes more vibrant and lines more defined. (Trying to describe)
And light trails make things interesting.
And the enhancement of sound too often.
Also in some phenos of crosses from Ed Rosenthal Super Bud which is sensei seeds years long project with their best sativas from the old days. I guess that means their jack Herrer and African sativas and power plant. And maybe the original hash plant mixed in there. But who knows what they were keeping around to surprise growers with.

Oh yeah. Original Herijuana and crosses qualify for super potent long lasting interesting highs for sure.

Actually the best I ever smoked was when I was doing time, someone brought some in and was selling pinjoints for a dollar. Me and my homey bought one and smoked it. Intense colors, looking out the window looked like a pastel painting. We rushed to buy another and smoked it. When we were walking it was like walking on a treadmill, with the landscape narrowing in the distance. A leaf falling was fascinating, when it hit it sounded like a brick had hit!

I don't know if I could narrow it down to one, but here are three that crushed me in different ways....
1) When I was in high school (almost 25 years ago, holy shit I'm old...) I had a buddy that I'd sell brick weed to. When he turned 18 our senior year his uncle gave him a bag of Northern Lights. He took one big bong rip and got so fucking high that he became convinced that it was laced with something. Sold it to me cheap because he had no idea what it was worth. It was, still to this day, the most beautiful example of NL I've ever seen. Totally covered in frost, soft, almost pastel green, smelled way stronger than most NL I've run into and a true one hit quit.
2) GG4. I don't much care for the type of high I get from this strain, but for pure potency I must say that it crushed my brain. First bag of it I got was the best I've tried. I'd say for me personally it was a two hit and dine strain.
3) This one is going to come across a little douchey, but the final entry is the Papaya I just ran from Nirvana. I'm not going to claim that my growing skills are reason this stuff is so good. Never known Nirvana to have the ultra potent genetics but in this case I think I found the magic pheno... probably not the highest TCH strain I've ever smoked (or grown for that matter), but the effects of this bud are incapacitating. It is the exact definition of pain relieving, anxiety killing, ass-planting couchlock weed. It feels damn close to narcotic. Never had strain that did half as good of a job helping with my anxiety and insomnia. The smell is sweet and earthy, the taste is pretty meh, but take one bong hit and it's time to put on your jammies and hit the rack.

Strain selection is important but super high potency has a lot to do with
a) when you harvest and
b) the overall health of the plants from seed to chop time.(which usually comes through in the quality of the trichomes)
Some of the most kick-yer-ass strains I've grown to date was Super Lemon Haze, super silver haze, Afgooey, and blueberry headband. I think you cannot go wrong with many of the haze or blueberry crosses but either way if you want it to be very heady bud wait till the absolute last minute to pull your plants. Prepare to go to week 11 or week 12 as a rule or even longer.

Exactly. Mild but LSD like effects. Patterns. Distortions. Trails. (Tracers too now that you mention it).
Not as powerful as say an old chocolate Thai from the eighties or the right skunkweed. But definitely present along with giggles and time displacement and nice medical effects too in the seeds I got.
The hybrid nature is a compromise but it is closer to what I remember than any others I have tried.
I recomend Motarebel for regular seeds. Or some of the right Shantibaba/ Mr. Nice stuff.
CH9 for fems. The Deadhead OG from Cali Connection was close but more uplifting and energetic than trippy. The one seed I grew anyway. And really tasty and strong sweet smell. With the chem background in there.

The genetics crossed into the strains I got is likely original and from Mota. It's from 10 years ago.

Memory is shot but I got mine right after the original came out. Someone got the originals and bred them. I forgot who but wasn't a name breeder. Got em off Cbay.

As far as I know it is a woodhorse strain from the eighties and Mota has the real genetics.
Some of he Mota classic stuff comes from Elite Genetics. Like the Lemon Thai.
Sanie had an original but has worked and stabilized it for years. Known to be very different.
Mine are mixed with Jack and I have gotten a chocolate Thai pheno for sure. Trippy but with old sensei seeds jack Herrer in there I can only say he pheno was leaning toward Herijuana.

I agree completely. And the good ones are finicky so it is a tricky thing to accomplish well sometimes.
And there will likely be late bananas if you are pushing the plant or it is too deficient.
Or if it is just way leaning to a landrace sativa.

There was a lot of that going around when I was in high school and for a while after. Light green pastel or neon looking. Fire. That's actually what I'm talking about.
I don't really care much for couch lock weed. For pain I prefer autos for some reason, may be different cannabinoid profile.
I found keepers out of landrace brick strains.
I digress. I'm rambling. I'm high as shit off some skunkwreck widows testers right now.
Yea. Wake up the next day with your face sore from smiling.
I grew a couple Mr nice strains but don't remember what they were. One was a widow or widow cross. Widows to me have a distinct smell to me.
