Best LED around

If the price wasn't an issue, what is the BEST LED on the market and why?
I currently have a G8 LED, the biggest they make. I'm wanting one more LED to replace a 600 w hps but Can't decide if I should just get another G8 or try something new.
I've read good things about Lush lighting. What y'all think ?

There are others that will be able to help you more than I can but from my readings these two names keep popping up
amaretechnology ( put the w at the start and the . c** at the end ) Sorry about that I unable to post links as I dont meet the minimum requirements.
and Neil from perfect sun led who is starting to gather a large user base with nothing but good things to say about his lights he makes a lot of claims on what his lights can do. Perfect Sun LED with the Black Diamond lights. He has a large fan base on the 420 forum.

That is interesting I have been looking for a review or someone that knows what they are talking about to do a review or give an opinion on the perfect sun led lights, as I said they have a big following on 420 forum with plenty of people shouting their praises. They are a sponsor of the forum so I expected a little bias, so it would be great if you could share your opinion on the perfect sun and why you think they are shit? I searched the forum but I can not find a review or a thread that mentions these lights.... cheers

oohmoles!
LOL ... Interestingly enough I was just looking a your website can you post to Thailand? As for oohmoles I am not sure what you are trying to say, I am only new to the growing scene. After watching a few of the DIY tuts I think I will try and build a light myself. As for the perfect sun leds I was considering them but I could not find another review on the light other than the person who sells them which makes me a little wary. It gets more confusing still as he has a large following of people on another forum that says the lights are good. Having said this a lot of people will tell you Mars hydro are good lights and I guess they are for their intended purpose of being one of the cheapest lights available. Thanks for the reply but if you could explain a little further I would appreciate it ... cheers

At first, there is no colored 5w Bridgelux LED out there.
The 2nd, he say Cree 50w COB, that means CXA or CXB2540 to me otherwise he would mentioned it were 3590 and the small lenses above the COB's also indicates that.

But what me really fucks up, he claims to have the best light and all others can not compare. But in fact he use small not so efficient Cree COB's and crappy chinese EPIStar 5w diodes and he claimt it were Bridgelux.

The additional colored LED's may have some effect but If you do without the colored ones and instead use double the number of COB's, you will probably get a lot more PAR. If you want to increase PAR with mono's you need quality LED's like Cree XP-E HE or Osram Oslon top bins. Shitty EPIStars are not able to beat white quality COB's in PAR/w, not even the deep reds. They are simply not efficient enough! Remember, the 5w Epi LED's consist of four 1w chips squeezed into a 1/3w housing!

And at last, he uses too often adjectives like "super-bright", "super-amazing" and "super-strong", but the only thing that is superstrong is the profit margin he has on selling these lights, LOL!
BTW,
as far as I know, critical contributions to lamps from sponsors from the 420 forum will be deleted, critical users will be warned or thrown out! So no wonder you will find nothing negative about these lights there..

oohmoles is a dig but to be honest his methodology was terrible, basically concentrating a bunch of leds with lenses then remarking about the center spot measurements of his fixture at various distances. tells you zero point zero about the perfomance of the light other than you have to hang it at 48" or whatever to get decent coverage

Thanks for the replies I appreciate you taking the time to explain to me as someone that is new to the scene. I would like your posts but I can't find that option on the page for the life of me( can anyone point me in the right direction). I just read on youtube where someone asks him a few questions regarding internals of the lights like drivers and leds etc and he never answered either of the posters he avoided them altogether so it all makes sense. I am waiting on work to decided if they will transfer me back to Australia or I will remain in Thailand so I will hang off until I know where I will am staying before committing to a grow. In the meantime I will try and learn as much as I can but without a doubt I will be doing a DIY light setup. Thanks again guys ... cheers

You have to wait for a while until you get full forum functionality. Usually the like button is in the lower right corner under each entry.

1500.00$ or 1600.00$ with solar controller. the spydrxplus is 685 watts so ur electricity bill wont be sky high but its compared to a 1000 watt hps.. if ur a smart grower u will make ur money back easily with the money u save on electricty . not to mention your yeild will be high and quality will be spectacular .. this light isn't recommended if u dont run co2,just an f.y.i ,because the amount of lumens it creates
