That doesn't appear to be the case in Colorado.
it won't happen until its not illegal in 1/2 the other states (or whatever the number is). Once supply is up in all the other states you can bet it will drop....fuck right now, its like colorado and what 5 or 6 other states same model? I dont know the numbers as I dont reside in the US any longer.

Legal or not, this NC boy will still smoke, grow and give away(ok maybe sell a little) my weed.Been that way, will stay that way.Bangaman does make very valid points,I'll bet Mcrory would have a spastic fit if we all started growing opium poppies because we were tired of paying for our codeine. At any rate this is for the Good People of Maine to decide.I lived in BoothBay for awhile, and worked on a Lobster boat outta South Bristol.I got to know a lot of Mainers, smart, funny, and hospitable.Vote your conscience, not your wallet.

Ideally the world is a nice place where people share weed, make love, hold hands and sing "Come by here My Lord" all in Chorus, high as fuck!

Wake the fuck up or go live in bumville Washington county where there are more child molester per square mile the there ever was at Alcatraz and pretend all your neighbors are "really Nice"

This Just in case you have not noticed, the energy behind this whole cannabis is GREED MOTHER FUCKERS!

NO one is trying to make it easier for you to smoke, this is pure simple greed, the big old boys are tired of watchighing hoodlums and gangster make more money than they can steal in broad daylight so they decided to get into the drug trade.

Are you blind, just like you think slavery os over, you fools, slavery is still here in broad dayling, human trafficking is the most legal business in the united states, you really think Cannabis will not be theirs and you will still not be allowed to smoke as you want where you want.

For you all wondering about the human trafficking, what do you call it when people proit from taking away another human being's complete rights and profiting from it? Slavery right, because all them prisoners are working for the owners of the prison system simply by breathing behind those prison walls. And here you were thinking American Prisons are the most populated in the world because we had more criminals.

Watch what happens with the broad sweeps when sire Whitey would have used all your help to make the Cannabis trade his, he will line his dogs aruind that trade and all you fucks will go be slaves for the prison owners who by the way do not pay their faire share of taxes because they own a prison, a valubale asset to society

We replaced slavery with the minimum wage. No more clothing, feeding and housing the help. Now they get $7.50/hr and have to take care of themselves. Big tobacco is going to sell pre-rolled, machine shredded, chemical sprayed wacky tobacky and the next generation will be hooked on it and love it.

Yes, and for those still delusional about our system, if Big Whitey Donald Trump becoming president doews not spit the truth in this country then you are a lost cause thinking Legalization is a good thing for me and you the little guy. Legalization is illergalization for the little man.

Seriously, when we hire someone for a salaried or hourly job don't we like to see some sort of successful experience in the field, I mean experience like haven held similar or the same job, then why is it that every time we electy a president experience counts for shit?

Al Gore, one of the most qualified vice presidents who should have become president won the popular vote andf lost to a man who not only bankrupt every company he ever ran, but should have been given a Big Chicken Diner discharge out of the Military. A C student who should have been an F student if not for his Father's reputation, a man who single handeldly (with his cousin Dick, his long Hispanic friend (and employee through every bankrupt company) the attorney general brought this country to its kneees financially and through a DEEP PIT MASS GRAVE of thousands of our young boys and men all while become astronomically rich. You still thgink Cannabis legalization is for your best interest?

Hilary Clinton, a woman who has ran a facet of this country since she has been in her very young years when most of us are getting drunk loses to the biggest pig of the century who has never done anytrhing for the greater good

That being said, I'd like to steer back on topic and say:

I know it's not a popular view with the caregivers, but if this can stimulate the state's economy the way it did for CO it will be worth it. I don't agree with a lot of the details, but our economy needs it bad, notable especially if you're well outside portland's area of influence.

On top of that, frankly, I'm really tired of being secretive about my usage, and if we can get to a point where I can relax on that thoroughly, that's a major boon to me. I'm a little paranoid and socially ostracize myself because of it. I could seriously benefit emotionally from more community support, but the law keeps us hiding out like we're doing something wrong and it can cripple community growth as a result. (Talking cannabis community, or counter-culture community.)

Sorry if my reasons aren't good enough... but they're pretty important reasons to me. Plus I don't have to renew my card.

One thing I'd really like to see changed is private sale... it's absurd to set this all up and let us have it and grow it ourselves and then tell us it's still illegal to sell head to head.

Luckily in mass towns can't ban rec growing. They can ban commercial grow/test/processing and any rec or med sales. But as long as I can grow, I don't care if the nearest store is 15 miles away.

Ahh, ok, that's different. One of the interesting things I heard was that a town can have either grow facilities or retail sales, but not both.

I think my town (in MA) already approved a grow facility, but I don't know if it's for med or rec. Either way, the state will actively discourage people from farming on a small scale every way they can. They want 10 farms, not 10,000. It sounds like Maine is different.

So the bill passed in ME.. Did the world end yet?

Anyone know if in the rec law for Maine can someone else grow their plants on my property?

The property owner must have documentation giving written permission to the other person . The other person growing must be over 21 (I believe) and be a Maine resident.
