my indoor grow rooms are located in a barn that has a dirt floor. I park all of my unwashed lawn equipment in that space next to the grow room door.
lawn mower, brush hog, rototiller, pressure washer too. When I'm done cutting five acres of lawn I pull my tractor right into the space next to my new dirt mixing tray, by the cement mixer.
My chickens have free run of the dirt floor space, so does our farm cat and my precious jack russel. My JR works with me in the grow space sometimes. I dont change my shoes in or out of the room daily, I have no hepa filters employed ever.
I leave my grow room door open to the space often when working or cleaning the grow space. ALL of my soil, used and new is stored, mixed and distributed in that space to. My chickens love to roll in my new dirt more than my old dirt, I dont mind.
I never used pest strips or pest bombs, never saw a mite in my grow space. I'm guessing its because I dont buy house plants and never invited an infected stranger clone into my grow room, or, because those with mites keep it going by doing exactly what others with mites advise them to do, or maybe I'm just lucky all these years.
my dehumidifier has prevented mold from flourishing all that time indoors, luckily
