This thread is exhibit A on what's wrong with this country.

On the one hand you have people that believe in civil rights, equality and freedom.

On the other hand you have people who are hateful, oppressive, insecure to the point they need to mention the guns they own on an internet forum and in general have absolutely no idea what they're talking about.

Sadly, there are more of the later in the country than the former...which is how Trump got elected to begin with.

You're somehow trying say people of today's day and age have no right to want equality; because of the past.
Your logic is false. Your indignation about my interpretation of your words is laughable.
Some people think equal rights is important. Why should that upset you? Unless of course you are not into equal rights.

I have voted in EVERY election since 1984.

I was given gun rights but I gave up my rights when I chose to commit the crime that I did. Rights often come with conditions.

The state has no problem sending me a check every month, paying for my food or covering all my medical costs. Even being a felon.

Glad to see you proud of the chicken scraps California sends you for taking away your rights. You make almost as much as a person working at El Pollo Loco with benefits .

As a felon you can can't join the military unless you receive a waiver. You can't own a fire arm EVER. You can't serve on a jury. The list is too long to name the professional business licenses you can never have with a federal felony conviction. You asked for an example...it was given.
