FAKE NEWS
LOL, Fake news = facts that reactionary right wing nuts don't like, AKA, the truth. After Trump and Ryan have their way, your off road experience will be limited.

H.R.621 - Disposal of Excess Federal Lands Act of 2017

https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/house-bill/621

The bill is to sell 3 million acres of public lands, including the very land near Moab Utah that you enjoy.

Seriously, Stroker, stop listening to what they say and look at what they are doing. All politicians lie but this administration has taken it to a completely higher level.

Should I go down and camp like your buddies on the pipeline?
Just asking, why do you support a government that would even consider selling off 3 million acres of public lands when one of your main values is public access.

I take it you live in Utah.

HR 621 – the Disposal of Excess Federal Lands Act – would have authorized the disposal of more than 132,000 acres in Utah. More than one-tenth of that land – about 15,400 acres – is in west-central Grand County, scattered largely in parcels just east of the town of Green River.

Chaffetz unveiled the bill on Jan. 24, days after President Donald Trump took office.

Your guy, Chaffetz wrote the fucking thing. He backed off after protests from stakeholders including hunters and ORV groups, environmentalists and wildlife enthusiasts protested. So here is my main point. We need each other to stop these suckers from raping this country. There is plenty of room for all, including motor vehicles as long as we stick together but we need to look to each other's needs as well. Also we need to prune out of government the assholes who are tone deaf to all but corporate sponsors. This would include Chaffetz.

Chaffetz has introduced that bill five years in a row. He's going to introduce it again next year. It only has to get through once to rub out all the work your group has done to protect that land. And this is only one area that is under attack.

I again ask why do you support people who would do this?

Jobs? What jobs?

Hated Clinton. Got it. Maybe the biggest reason for Trump's win.

Access? Didn't we just agree that the current government is trying to take that access away?

There is a difference between holding land in a national monument and selling it. Selling the land would put it out of reach of your ORV club forever. This is what Chaffetz wants to do.

National monuments can be changed from their designation.

I get that your ORV club wants to put tire tracks everywhere. Land conservation groups oppose that. The two groups have common ground when it comes to Chaffetz's plans. This is a good time to talk about working together.

Opening access to all that federally owned wilderness sounds like republicanese for another opportunity to make money off the environment by having the American people pay for the infrastructure to these areas while subcontracting all of the work to their buddies Halliburton style. Logging and mining huge swaths to allow access to these remote areas.
I bet all the visitor centers, hotels and gift shops will be built and contracted out to Aramark to run.

I don't know, some of those places are so nice they will be developed into exclusive resorts.

Country clubs for the rich payed for by the American people.
I could even see them banning camping out in these exclusive zones of development. They'll probably allow you to rent a tent site in an RV park
