Dude... Honestly I've got nothing on aeroponics, but I have pretty much figured out the rockwool shit! Let me give you a break down just in case you wanna try it this way.
Ok first I'll break down how it's set up. I took a small 2 foot tall rectangle table I bought at Wal-mart and threw an even bigger rectangle piece of plywood on top. Over the plywood, I laid a huge towel. On top of the towel I use a black rubber mat. I just cleaned the hell out of the bottom mat that was in my dogs crate. Works perfect cause it has lipped up edges. On top of the towel I lay a heat mat and keep it on low then lay the rubber mat lipped edges down to cover the heat mat. So I have this mat sitting upside down on top of the towel and plywood with a heat mat under it. After that I drop a clear plastic lid to incubate the plants over the black mat. The edges of the plastic rest on the plywood. I can fit up to fifty cuttings in there at once comfortably. Sitting about 3 feet above my cuttings, I have my T5 fluorescent light.
How I take my cuttings... I take a gallon of water and mix in 1 tsp of Super Soak and adjust the ph... Usually the super soak mixed into the water adjusts my ph for me to nearly perfect. I then take all of my mini cubes and throw them into the bucket of water until they are fully submerged. I bring out the old scale and flick the wrist (al b fuct style) to get excess water out. I make sure all my cubes are between 25 & 30 grams and I set them all up on the black mat under the plastic lid.
When I take cuttings, I take them when they have no less than four nodes and cut them close to the bottom set of leafs at a 45 degree angle. After that, I strip off the bottom leafs and take the back side of my razor and gently scrape the bottom inch of the stem to make it vulnerable. I steady my hand then put a small quarter inch slit in the bottom of the stem. Once I've done that I have some rooting hormone sitting in a shot glass and I cover the area that was cut and scrapped with the rooting gel. Once that is done, I lift of the plastic lid and plug my cube. I keep doing that until they are all plugged. My success rate was 14 out of 15 in 11 days... I'm pretty stoked. I have to give em a little water every couple days and I usually give them a light misting once a day with the water bottle.
Anyway man... There's my input for the contest in winning half your harvest! On the areo thing you made, do you have anything that keeps your plants incubated and warm? That would be the only thing I could think of, but I know nothing about areoponics. Good luck though... May the Ganja Gods be with you.
