OK. A little taste.

Imagine that perpetual motion machine driving 450 watts free. Forever! Yeah man. The tech over the horizon is amazing. And. Free

I'll post pics at some point later in time. They will be other worldly. :-)

Don't you mean a release of tech that has been kept from the world due to National Security?

Dude! Your plants will need suntan lotion.........lol!

kicked off a build this weekend with the QBs. I got all of the metal fab/machining done. I'm damn tempted to have the mounting panel anodized, if I can find a company that won't rape me. $
Components:
6 x quantum boards 3000K :NGL @933ma
16 x Cree xp-g3 (3up) 4000k 90CRI top bins: Cutter, up to 1400ma capable (3up boards are around 9 vF)
24 x asst cree xpe , mostly the xpe HE 660nm (XPEEPR-L1-0000-00C01) tippy top flux bin
2 x 24 T5HO uvb from HTG supply
2 x hlg320h-c2800b (runs 3 boards in parallel @ 933ma per board)
1 x hlg185h-c1400b (for xpg3 which max at 2000ma)

that's a lot of dollars for just a controller and 2 wireless sockets...
Compared to similar units I think they are priced fairly. Considering what it can do anyways. Most CO2 controllers that are wireless cost as much and that is where the functionality end with those units. We will be offering a discount code for these units soon. If you have more questions don't hesitate to ask.

Yeti coolers are the most overpriced chunk of cheap plastic I have ever seen and depend on redneck ego-stroking appeal. First series lids warped almost immediately and owners had to ship that crap back themselves.

$249 to keep 14 12oz cans cold is bullshit. Give me a dozen Igloo or Coleman any day

I was just making the point that the HYDROPODS controller has a lot of R&D behind it. I think sometimes people expect too much. Retail is a hard gig and people don't see the overhead involved in getting a product to the public.

Hillbill has 35 years of retail in several fields and over promoted and poor value products bother the hell out of him.

Advertising has reached the point of propaganda and some techniques used today are incredibly sophisticated. Mind numbing by design. I will see ads everywhere now that I mentioned a certain brand. Over time some advertisers want to make your purchasing decisions for you and leave you out of it!

Brand loyalty has become part of people's personal identity to the point of being offended personally if a product they own is critized, even if that criticism is valid.

A good product at a decent price is Gold.

Sure but is it remote via a phone app? Does it data log? What about daylight harvesting?
I think the problem is its more of a novelty item at a price that most would only consider if the item were necessary.

Also for that price I would expect a thermocouple that has accuracy better than +-2C, don't you think?

HydroPods is honestly not a bad product it has like what $1000-1500 worth of features combine into 1. Only thing that gets me is $99 for the plugs.

Complete Climate Controller
Hydroponics Controller
Environmental Controller
Temperature Controller
Humidity Controller
CO2 Controller
Flood Detection and Alert System
Fogger Controller
Irrigation Controller
Ebb and Flow table Controller
Time lapse grow movie creator
DWC Level Controller
Deep Water Culture Controller
Cycle Timer(s)
Lighting Controller
Atmospheric Controller
Long Term data logger with advanced analytics
Control MULTIPLE growing areas from one account
And much more, the system is extremely configurable

hello

im fairly new to the DIY scene.
watched growmou5 7 part diy series and his bigger concept videos, greengene's diy vid and browsed a lot of pages here too but the information is kinda overwhelming if you know what i mean.
i would like a 4x4 tent scrog and i need a light i wont regret paying for in the near future. it has to be reasonably priced and good for veg to flower. im also in the UK if that makes any difference. guess not.
i have seen lots of hype around quantum boards and i need to know which would be the best bang for my buck? a COB diy fixture or QB?
any suggestions are welcome
love to you all xx

Incorporate the two would work prime.

What type cob chips you looking for?

Luminus or citizen products are best bang for buck right now for cobs i believe.
