DIY with Quantum Boards

Nice. But they look stretched. Are they sativa dom hybrids but, with phat indicate fan leaves? Anyway. Nice looking plants.
If you continue to read you would know that his plants stretched because the light was too high. Its call trial and error.

I'm new here, but I don't understand why people are bringing so much shade to this thread.

Final thoughts on testing the Quantum light build.

Its hard to express how these COB panels perform over other lighting that's out there. Robin and the HLG have given all the data and people like me have tested in real world applications. These will be the last pics I post of any grows but will continue to be part of the community. Take notice in pic 6 of how far down the growth is. This girl is about done and honestly she was just for testing proposes. My next grows will all be scrog to maximize the lights capabilities and get the most out of my space. One solid grow with good beans would give me enough meds for the whole year. I'm looking forward to seeing other peoples grows with them. They are a remarkable light .

Lol dude did you train that plant? It's fucking awesome looking, like an octopus, each tentacle a bud with its giant egg head above the tentacles. I like stretching my plants too

Whose throwing shade man? I'm just asking simple questions, not stirring up the pot. I'd be interested in buying a QB and gutting my mars 300, I want to maybe run them at 600mA

Sorry I didn't mean to quote you it was meant for someone else.

Just from various grows that I have seen pics of, the plants seemed to be top heavy, not many side colas. I may be wrong, no personal experience so I'm treading lightly. I wanted to get a QB but Robin sold out lol. If you lowered the current on those COBS, which one would beat out which?
The question to ask isn't 'how far down can you dial' but the cost effectiveness vs performance. CXB3590 were the shit a couple of years ago and now there are better chips out for less money.

Quantum boards just take a COB apart and spread the diodes out over a big PCB. They run cooler and the board is so much bigger that thermal issues are far easier to manage. The net result is a measurable improvement in outright efficiency and a big step up in light distribution. It's proven, tested and it works. @Stephenj37826 has the sphere data, he's published it here on the threads someplace..

Appreciate it bud:p, you think a 100v driver at 0.665A would be good enough to run one QB?

So 4 boards with 240 1050ma would pull 600w ?
Would that be dimmable to 300?
When's the next batch set to arrive?

So these qb boards are the best in lighting at this point in time, I'd be better with these boards in an enclosed tent?
@ttystikk your knowledge and input?

Yeah this pheno was super stretchy. If you go back and look in my last journal she stretched across the whole screen and didn't wanna stop either. That was another indication letting me know these were in fact the Golden Lemons and not the Underdog this time around.
@ChefKimbo it's all god man I didn't take that as a jab in the least.
I had the lights far away before I flipped to stretch them out but once I saw how they took off I kept it right on em. It's in my journal.

I can't say that. I can say I think mine kick ass and you won't go wrong with them.
