Thank you I wanted to show everyone what I'm working with. They're sensi skunk autos in roots organic soil and I'm using the nectar for the gods nutes. Currently on flush! These pics are from a week ago I'll get some new ones when I get home.View attachment 3891469
Uh-oh. You said the magic word. Now the no-till/no-flush army is gonna drop by and tell you what for. It's kind of like the duck descending from the ceiling but it isn't holding a $50 bill. ;)

Great looking plants! I love bud porn.

@Funkskunk looking really nice bro. Good for you and the team who'll be smoking it. I myself don't puff. But after growing these bitches I'll be burning em all down my throat from time to time. Hahahaha.

Not to be pedantic, but 400w of COB's will cost you the same to run as 400w of HPS. Now if you are saying he can replace 400w with 300, or that he will won't need as much a/c, then that is a different argument.

The power company doesn't care how you burn watts, they all cost the same.
It turns out this isn't strictly true. COB LED makes a lot less infrared so for whatever reason even equivalent wattage does not create as much need for cooling.

Beware of this approach because you'll end up with A LOT more light!

Does anyone know of a good thread on reflectors? I'm trying to figure out what to surround my grow in, and I see all manner of variation, but was looking for someone to be like, "This is the best for the $. This is the best but is expensive AF." etc.

Right now it's winter I have no a/c running. Thank god. Or yet!?! I'm running a smooth 77 degrees. I'd just like to go cob cause I think it's a better investment long term and I can def get more of them in a space than a big fucking hood and fans hoses all that shit that comes with MH HPS set up. I want better penetration for the plants I want them full and sexy. Not lanky and skinny looking. Green crack is tall and not full. My train wreck is bushy fat lil bitch. Like a slice of heaven has touched her.

I like panda film; heavy plastic black on one side and white on the other. It's good for light isolation and reflection.

Im running a smooth, consistent 77 inside my tent also (with my LED AND CFL), with no exhaust
fan and filter going. kind of easy. come summer will be different story, eh? Only issue I have is damn humidity keeps going down to 30-35.

Don't stress the RH, it's nice but not essential. Higher RH is better for CO2 uptake, but not a big deal otherwise.

Once I put the 5 gallon pots in, the humidity spiked to about 70%. I'm controlling it by running the exhaust fan on a controller which also keeps the temp under 75. Otherwise I'm not paying much attention to it.

where i have little ladies want to keep it above 40. if I dont watch it it will go down to 20. I have a bowl of water in there with a towel hanging out, spray 2x day, and still having hard time. I assume its the baseboard heating in my house....damn ne winter.

Remember white is much better for this then the typical rolled silver backed insulation that most tents and shit come with or people put up on there walls in room. White thick poly with typically black backing.

I wanted to start a grow journal but it keeps saying I don't have permission. Any suggestions? Am I doing something wrong?

A little meteorology; when you increase temperature, RH ALWAYS falls. This is because warmer air can hold more moisture than cooler air, exponentially more. A good rule of thumb is that the water holding capacity of a given volume of air roughly doubles with every 20°F increase in temperature.

In a New England winter, air outside is usually very humid- and cold, so it can't hold much. Your house is an air sieve, constantly leaking air out and in, so as this cold air is drawn inside and warms up it becomes able to hold much more moisture. We experience this as dryness.

To increase RH in your growing space, seal it from the rest of your house as best you can to reduce air exchange. Beware that you're also sealing CO2 out, which will stunt the plant's growth.

Another option is to wet a bigger towel and blow a fan across it.
