When Does Life Begin ...

Thanks you Stoney. It's hard for someone with a penis to understand.

Those of you men that don't want your kids aborted should be more careful where you leave your semen. :o

FYI there is now an abortion PILL. That's right, not the morning after pill but an actual abortion pill, so that ends the trips to the clinic too.

How about everyone just takes a deep breath. You all did a dog pile on moffitt. Most of you are men, so you will never have first hand knowledge of pregnancy.I know it gets heated in here, but fuck. You who are anti abortion can all scream about being anti abortion all you want. You wont stop it.If it ever becomes illegal again, I'll just make sure everyone I come across who wants the knowledge has it.Governments will make laws, and I will do as I like anyway.

wow wee, i'm a lil timid to post here now.

let me start off by telling you i'm a 26yr old, married for 1 yr,(but we've been together for 11yrs) female. i am a stay at home mom to 4 little boys. they are 4yrs,3yr olds twins, and a 2yr old.they are the loves of my life.i absolutly adore them.i understand alot of the points that have been made here.i have been pregnant for 26months.my first baby,i labored for 36hrs naturally, did pitocin, and breaking the bag,and ended up with forecepts inside me that ripped me on the way out.baby boy has a scar on his scalp to this day too.the twins,i was so sick by the end of that pregnancy,i weighed 17lbs less than my pre-pregnancy weight, and they ended up a month premature.i agree with who ever said (sorry can remember your name ,been reading awile) that vomiting while pregnant is nasty! feels like the twins are trying to come out of your mouth!pregnancy #3 went smoothly.(feel kinda bad to not mention him)

i am pro-choice,and i believe life starts when that child takes it's first breath.i don't know that i could ever abort a child.i've wanted to be a mommy since i was 15yrs old.i believe others should have the right to make their own decision.just my 2cents:)

No need to feel timid ... we are all friends here.

Just curious though ... if you've had four children, and felt the movement in your womb during those pregnancies, how can you believe that life begins with the first breath? Not dissing you in any way here. I just want to know. :)

Yeah, just very argumentative friends, but you can't get a real good fight going with strangers

Arguments between siblings and friends are always more vicious than arguments than those between strangers and associates/acquaintances

I didn't insult misshestermoffitt's Marijuana Growing Profile even a single little bit... indeed I felt as though I was defending the dignity of manhood, because I had seen quite a bit of "you men" etc. I don't think that it is fair to classify people in groups like that. We truly are all our own individuals, some do similar things but not all, and to say that "men" in general are a certain way (or women either for that matter) is offensive to me. I have absolutely no problem with abortion, so long as the child would not have entered the world, and had not developed to a certain point in the womb. I think that after a certain point, if the mother decides not to keep it, than she should try to find a very good home for the child.

So, when does life begin? I do not think we can know this with any more certainty than we know when life ends. People of faith, and people of good conscience, are going to have to agree to disagree—with a good dose of humility—on matters of life and death.....................................

Tomorrow is my birthday. See how we celebrate birthdays here but not conception days? If I celebrated my conception day it would be closer to the end of January. So was I 41 in January or am I 41 tomorrow?

Anyone? Does that mean we should give teenagers a drivers license 9 months earlier on their conception day? Should we allow them to vote after their 18th conception day? How about drinking or military enlistment?

When push comes to shove, do you want your kid drafted after his 18th conception day, or do you want those 9 extra months making the military wait until his 18th birthday?

That's the thing I never get... all of the mothers so far in her that are pro-choice haven't gotten an abortion and probably wouldn't (notice I said probably..).. my mother had an abortion, I don't have an older sister because of it- she has 4 children (including myself).. it has haunted her every day of her life and she regrets it, I still remember the day she told me, Mother's Day, I was 9 years old, I had saved up my paper route money and gotten reservations at 'Mother's Day Restaurant', she cried most of the meal- she still hasn't forgiven herself.... I've known a few other girls who got abortions, and it tore them apart emotionally, with one of my friends she avoided the mall and stores for months because seeing the baby stuff was too painful. I have personally never known anyone that got an abortion that didn't regret it and suffer emotionally from it... but then you have all these people who just don't care.. I just don't understand the disconnect..

I don't wanna get into it with anyone, but I'm sorry- that little one growing inside of me and tickling my insides in a life.. believe it or not..
