so you keep yours safely locked away then?

"just wait one second, intruder, while i go to my safe and get my gun. is it 42 left, or 42 right to start?"

yeah, we can tell from the avatar.
They make rapid safes. Opens with a bracelet you wear. Has a couple of back up ways to open.

The addition of motion sensors gives plenty of time for access.

Built to exceed the ASTM International performance standardsfor youth resistant firearms containers.

Because I think if someone was going to shoot a cop from their vehicle during a traffic stop, it would be be more inconspicuous with a silencer especially with flash suppression at night. This is common sense, and I don't think you'll see many departments supporting the bill.
I can understand that point.

Thing is if they are going to shoot a cop, they are going to shoot them. I honestly don't think it will be an issue. A suppressor is fairly easy to make. Then you still have the dash cam for evidence.

Like I said I don't even own one. I could see a reason to own one. I have neighbors and I like to shoot. I've asked and it doesn't bother them but I think it would be polite to use a suppressor.

I have no problem with the way it is now to get them. Its not like its hard. Couple extra forms and $200.

I've been to large gun stores that sell them. They sell a lot of them.

In Arizona the highest level of education achievable is a certificate of basic gun safety from a shooting club, he gets confused and calls it college sometimes.
In Arizona you are not required to obtain a permit for concealed or open carry... No certificate required either.

Do you enjoy being wrong consistently?

Suppressors (not silencers) ARE a health and safety item
They are even encouraged in some European countries. Unlike in the movies, they do not actually silence the gunshot. They merely tone it down from a hearing damage inducing 140+DB to a more pedestrian 100+ level. Suppressors are great at reducing noise pollution associated with hunting/target practice, and they allow people to use a gun defending their home without suffering permanent hearing loss.

Banning Suppressors is as ridiculous as banning car mufflers because "Loud pipes save lives". Just think of how many lives could be saved if cars were super noisy and you could hear them coming!

Some suppressors do a shitty job, some can make certain guns almost completely silent.

It also depends on the ammo. Even the best suppressor won't do anything to quite the supersonic crack of a high velocity bullet. That's why some people will use subsonic bullets with their suppressed guns. You get a lower overall bullet energy, but it makes the gun much more silent.
