I would agree, government is not the most trustworthy entity, however ethics oversight doesn't require trust, only the law.

When "the law" is made by government, the meaning of it is defined or conveniently redefined by government and the adjudication of breaking the law is done by government it would seem like ethics is not in the equation.

If this remains as it is, I may consider commending Trump, and actually give him credit for this, if it doesn't turn out to be a PR stunt in the first place.

When "the law" is made by government, the meaning of it is defined or conveniently redefined by government and the adjudication of breaking the law is done by government it would seem like ethics is not in the equation.
