Smoke report; Blueberry headband from emerald triangle...our buds have only been curing for a couple weeks now but already very tasty: old school blueberry flavor with a diesel fuel finish. Decent yielder; top colas were all corn cob sized. Quite potent as well; a true two hitter quitter... reminds me of those good ol blueberry strains from back in the daze...
Training this strain out well could produce some serious yields but she will need to be supported or branches will be tipping towards the floor once buds get heavy in the mid to final weeks. Blueberry headband is a decent strain I haven't heard much about so check it out if you are so inclined; thanks for stopping in here's a pic from harvest time:

My cherry bomb is about 3-4 weeks old. What's the aroma like? I want my bloom room to smell like a candy store in about a month or so when I put it, my Panama and my bubblegum ladies into bloom.
Hey joe update on my cherry bomb... still got clear trichs in week 12 but the bouquet has changed and is now more complex- still fruity like cherries but also dank like fuel....much more complex in the final weeks. Can't wait to try this bud; stay tuned for a full smoke report coming soon

Will do. Mine died a couple weeks ago. Just withered up on me. I'm going to pop my last one tomorrow and hope for better results with a different soil mix. Chronic x NL is doing great though. Probably be ready in seven to ten days or so. She's starting to put on weight.

Well whatcha gonna do shit happens but the best of luck in your last bean....too bad I can't just send you out a cut. Took mad clones of this CB pheno; wanna fill up my bloom room with it; a stankass candy shop if you will. Don't see how chronic x NL could be a bad strain; excited to see how it turns out for you.
It'll be springtime before this young one makes it into the flower room; she's still in a nursery pot. Takes about 6 months before I get weed from a planted seed. It's like I read about a strain or smoke something nice and then order the seed etc and then it's like next year before I get to smoke it lol

Dicks AACT method...join the tea party!!!

I like to give an aac-tea to my plants when they have been in bloom for a couple weeks and then maybe again a few weeks later; then pretty much just water though to harvest time. Plants in veg sometimes get a liquid fish based tea but they usually don't need much more than a single application if at all.
I use a 160 micron mesh, same type that is typically used to make drysifting screens as sort of a tea-bag. I place about 2-3 cups of EWC per 5 gal bucket 3/4 full of rain water inside the nylon mesh. Yes when it rains (which hasn't been happening much at all due to droughts) I physically catch the rainwater in buckets and use it for teas & watering. Its the best quality water one can use for growing IMHO. Anyway along with super fresh worm poop I add some dry kelp meal and 5-5-5 happy frog fertilizer about 2 tblsp each. If my plants are looking pale I will add seabird guano but only 2-3 pellets for this amount of water is all they really need. Sometimes I add Neptunes harvest and/or FF big bloom (which surprisingly is organic) along with an EWC/kelp top dressing if the plants seem to need extra love early to mid bloom.
I use a wire tie to close the tea bag hobo style and attach a piece of yardstick so I can mix and retrieve the teabag without getting any bacteria on me or my hands. The bag is great because I don't have to filter out the particles when tea is done bubbling and I dump the spent compost right into my recycling soil bin. The nylon mesh is easily rinsed off in the sink under hot tap water.
I use a red frog air diffuser instead of a stone which makes vigorous bubbles and a tropical fish tank heater is used when temps get below 65. I usually add molasses first and then drop in my teabag once it is mixed well but last night I realized I ran out of blackstrap so substituted with 100% pure organic Vermont maple syrup. Time will tell if it worked the same as molasses would have...

Ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-cha cherry bomb!!!!

IMG_4044.JPG

This plant smells amazing but she keeps throwing new white pistils. Figured it would've been finished by now; trichomes are mostly cloudy and only near the tops. She's in week 13 so guess she will be ripe when she feels like it. This pic is from 10 days ago.
In other news maple syrup works for AACTs in place of molasses; just can't use as much. Plants are happy yay

IMG_4069.JPG Guess not...she's all done now though. Yesterday marked 14 solid weeks in bloom and finally a small percentage of amber trichs is apparent. She's coming down tonight; pulled her from the bloom room on Friday so she's been in the dark for last 48 hrs.
In other news started using some new fishy fertilizer; was using maxicrop but my plants seem lusher and happier using neptunes harvest. I bubbled it for 30+ hours with some big bloom and fresh EWC plus molasses. Plants are now all praying and shiny! The vessel on the left contains a special nutrient consumed only by the most skillful of growers....

I love Neptunes Harvest that stuff works great! It's like hitting the turbo button when I use it.:hump:
Hell yeah man; my plants are lovin it!
It's finally raining again here in New England & that means all my buckets are filled to the brim with good clean & free rainwater. It's been so dry around here even my dehumidifier collects almost nothing. Savin it up for a sunny day; rain makes the best teas IMO.
I love getting stuff for free and reusing things that normal people toss out to sustain my grow. This time of year electronics gifts and/or Xmas lights/cords yield sturdy wire ties that are awesomely reusable for plant training/trellising. I save those bread ties too. Built a drying tent for zero dollars out of an old stereo rack and some black poly film; works great! I repurposed a colander for use as an AACT strainer to get out any big chunks & toss those into my recycling soil as well. Empty milk jugs have endless uses such as worm leacheate storage. I have even grown clones in them if I ever run outta small smartpots.
After harvests I sweep up the cannabis leaves & let them dry for a couple days and then crumble them into my wormbin along with any kitchen scraps. They become compost quickly after the wormies get done munching them and then I add the next tray of wormie poop to my recycled soil for another cycle. The circle is now complete ...this shit is totally self sustainable.

IMG_4085.JPG Then in the final weeks of bloom the buds become like one long finger with them all touching. Here's a very frosted vanilla kush in week 6...
IMG_4087.JPG
As you can see it's nothing but bud at the colas stacked up like a stairway to heaven; this is only from topping, pinching in between nodes, lollipopping and lowering the light hours during late veg. Training plants like this increases yield and makes for more smokeable bud at harvest. Thanks for lookin; ✌

Thanks for the insight, I have a amnesia kush in seedlings stage now and I'm gonna try your method. I have white widow and Chemdog autos going now and I am trying to bowl shape them for more bud .

Id love to take all the credit but didn't come up with all this; read about gradually lowering the light hours in veg from skunk magazine. The Rev has not steered me wrong yet; it's impressive how well it works to eliminate stretch and achieve tight nodal structure. Adjusting your timer is such a simple & subtle thing and actually shaves a few bucks off my power bill..win/win
