Just grew some and don't get high

It doesnt matter when you harvest. The potency of the trichs are the same after week 3ish. Some say amber trichs give you a heavier high than clear ones.

Every crop i do i sample some lower bud at around week 3 to check what potency will be like.
Any chance you could site your source? I would love to read more about this but can't find anything.

Cheers

my last grow went like this .. a few bubblicious autos and the rest some nirvana photo strains and a few bagseeds. All went to shit due to very high temps...none would get you high. I can't think any other reason for my fiasco. (When I say high temps I mean 105 high ...southern european summer + hps and no AC)
We had temps like that here all summer, even higher and the stuff I grew in it, looked rough, smoked good. Its not ideal but if you plant in the ground the roots stay cool.

When growing inside wrap the pots with insulation and keep them cool. Set some frozen jugs of water around them. Mulch your plants even in pots. A few inches of mulch will do them good. Use a silica product and kelp to help heat tolerance.

Wow...never heard or read this one before. Learn something new everyday.
I don't believe that. It may be true for the trichomes present at 3 weeks. They sure put more on as they go. Also It doesn't hold true for the other cannabinoids. Thc is present that early but other cannabinoids come into play later in flower. High thc is not everything. It all how the cannabinoids interact and even terpenes influence the buzz,

See so much ruderalis out there nowadays. Some i think in all autos. I hate ruderalis!! Who knows where it goes?

I grew some WW a few years back and it did nothing for me either. Probably some sort of blood chemistry thing as the friends I passed it on to loved it.

As long as there are trichs on the buds after 3 weeks you'll get a feel for the buzz but it's a lot stronger at cropping time. Chopping a week early will affect your yield more than the stone as the trichs will be at full potency after 6+ weeks of flowering. I chop when almost all of the hairs have turned red and trichs are 50/50 clear/cloudy with an amber one here and there. That's peak THC time and they can turn amber later while curing in a jar instead of holding up production in my grow room waiting for amber.

The time of day you harvest isn't going to make a noticeable difference in the potency. Maybe 0.1% but unless you have a gas chromatograph you'll never notice the difference. Cropping under a new moon will triple potency so aim for that. ;)

:peace:

I did. Me. And anyone who grows and samples their produce knows it is true.

Try it. Take a small lower bud at say 25 to 30 days from flip from a healthy plant, dry it and smoke it. See what is does for you.

Then try again at harvest time. Youll find very little difference in potency. And that is no suprise, given what the job of the trichs is....

The OG kush FROM ILGM was very very good and strong. Maybe your tolerance is just built up for stronger strains. Or their version of WW is bunk

I grew out the Strawberry Kush from Robert Bergman (ILGM) and it smelled like that fake artificial strawberry gum smell dipped in fuel. Tasted the same way. I was very impressed. Bought more just the other day.

First off, you did a great job growing it out- it looks perfect!!!

Here's your problem........and it's getting more and more common. A large majority of strains continue to get watered down, by bad breeding, to nothing more then crap- eveything smells the same, tastes the same, looks the same and with little to no buzz. The majority of "Amsterdam" strains available- all are too similar with a 4-5/10 potency. WW is one of the strains I think. Add in the pollen chuckers out there, which most of these guys are- you virtually have little to no chance to find something worthwhile. A few guys, maybe Bodhi, GG, a couple of others- are doing a great job- but you can count them on 2 hands at most.

So, it's not you, it's all about genetics!!!!!!
