I was in 4th grade. We had a substitute teacher that day. Nobody told us anything, it was past 2:30 eastern when he died, we were out of school 3:30 and my dad told me when I got home.

Up to that point in my life, I hadn't known death. Nobody in my family or friends died yet and I remember being utterly shocked that someone could just shoot somebody from a window like that.

He was the same age as my dad.

I wear a tinfoil hat where this is concerned. The "official story" is bullshit. I firmly believe, that even til this day, there is a conglomerate of rich and powerful people that call the shots behind the scenes and pull the strings on the puppet/president, and Kennedy stepped out of line.

You are in agreement with many others. Executive Order 11110 was the tipping stone for the hit call

Yeah, either that or something in connection with the bay of pigs mishap. That left a lot of people with egg on their faces, and Kennedy was blamed because he held back on additional air support which was initially planned for by the CIA.

Either way, I don't believe that his assassination was carried out by a lone gunman. Our own govt was behind it.

Are you sure about that?
From my understanding, that EO gave the President the ability to control issuance of silver certificates. JFK's intent was to phase them out and the Treasury stopped issuing them in 1964, anyway.
The EO was phased out in 1982 with PL 97-258, before being officially cleaned off the books (along with a shitload of other pointless EOs) in 1987.
It had nothing to do with his assassination, in consequence. Perhaps you subscribe to a different narrative?

no way that was a one man hit job
It was two hits (and a miss) fired from a perfect sniper perch by a (crazy) trained Marine sniper firing a rifle of marginal quality. He had a good day.

I've seen some amazing passes in football - but it doesn't mean two quarterbacks were involved - not does it mean that Tim Tebow is a good quarterback.

Ruby was a hothead to begin with. The comedy of errors that lead to the shooting is well worth investigating.

Ruby gets a call from a stripper needing money via western union
Ruby takes dog in car (he really loved his dog) to run over to Western Union, right down the street from the jail.
Transfer of Oswald is delayed due to a police car blocking the jail driveway. Oswald should have already been gone.
Ruby transfers money leaving dog in car - notices crowd at jail, walks over to investigate. His personal relationships with the po-po, casual as they were, meant that he was allowed to just walk in (with a gun). This was 1963 remember - shit like that happened.
Oswald finally gets transferred - right past Ruby.
Ruby draws gun he always carried and shoots Oswald in a fit of rage, Western Union receipt still in pocket.
Dog gets found in car hours after Ruby's arrest.

You could look at those facts and see a well orchestrated plot - I understand that. But I see it different. I see it as a comedy of errors that changed a lot of procedures in America. A lot of people in America would have shot Oswald that day. People were upset. The police gave somebody unstable (which Sparky very much was) and armed a chance to shoot the assassin of JF(fucking)K. And he did.

Edit: ok, two dogs.
