My thoughts on the 2016 US presidential election

he has the police & the guns.....
He has the guns and he has the police. What he doesn't have is public backing for wholesale enforcement. It worked with Nixon when the WWII voting population was freaked out by hippies and civil rights protests. Nixon used MJ and War on Drugs to discredit protest movements and to arrest leaders. Today the picture is different.

I think the cat's out of the bag. He might be able to force the market to pharma MJ but even then, I don't see how cracking down on this issue will help him politically. Public support would be against him. In my opinion.

And it all falls down if they let people grow their own. Shoot, in my one and only legal Rec grow, I produced enough from my four plants to last a looooooong while and give away most of it. Not saying it's up to your standards but it meets mine just fine. Free is always appreciated when I gift somebody a jar.

Make America Great Again v. I'm With Her.

Remember, everyone in the US is not as political as we.

Latinos who are here LEGALLY, are just as worked up as the typical rightie based upon the above slogans.

It was extremely hard for me to fill in that circle for Hillary.

I'm obviously disappointed Clinton didn't win since her views more closely align with mine, even as an establishment democrat, than Trump's. Full disclosure, I didn't vote for her since I live in CA and I knew she would win this state whether I voted for her or not, and she was the 5th person to win the popular vote but still lose the nomination.

So how did this happen? There are so many different variables we could talk about that led to this, but I'd like to talk about what I think is the main reason she lost; DNC and media collusion/establishment politics

Donald Trump created an image highlighting anti-establishment rhetoric, anti-NAFTA, anti-TPP, anti-free trade, for the poor and middle classes, for working men and American jobs, the people who've been affected the most by corporatist policy.

At the same time, Bernie Sanders was creating a populist movement within the democratic party where young people everywhere were excited and enthusiastic about participating in the political process. Then the DNC rigged the primary against him to ensure a Clinton victory. Establishment shills on the left accepted it believing that even if she had to cheat, Hillary Clinton would be our best shot at beating Donald Trump, even though the numbers didn't represent that, and she couldn't do that. She couldn't defeat Donald fucking Trump..

These people lost us the supreme court for a generation at least, they emboldened the alt-right and they ended all progress on climate change, LGBT rights, the war on drugs, the private prison industry, foreign policy, etc.

Personally, I think the people responsible for blatant election fraud at the DNC and within the Clinton campaign should be held accountable to the full extent of the law, and I'd love to see president Trump enforce it. They defrauded millions of Americans with their bullshit.

And to anyone who has given Sanders supporters shit during this election; we fucking told you.

We told you exactly what was going to happen. I really hope you learn something from this monumental fuck up you're responsible for getting us all into.

UB personally blames you for the Trump win. I was told by him that your failure to vote for Hillary means you are personally responsible for Trumps win.

i'm hoping a lot of the crap he spewed during the run up to the presidential election was just in order to garner votes from the right wings, and not really things that he truly believes in and plans on pursuing..
i've heard him on the howard stern show, and he came off way more moderate and even a bit left leaning than the things he was saying during the primaries, so yeah, it's just my hope that a lot of the things he said were just to get more votes.
not much we can do about the scotus though with a stacked house and senate, it's not going to be pretty..
It is better for us to produce our own energy than send money to countries funding terrorism. Imo.

It's also nice to buy our own products..guess that means Trumps buildings going forward will contain only high intensity virgin AMERICAN steel.

Doesn't it Pie? That's what it means? Doesn't it?

Actually it's going to be great, Trump will finally have to pony up for taxes..that deficit alone should balance the budget.

Afterall, as president, he's not going to be able to skip out on it. Approval ratings and all:wink: Wonder if he gave that any thought?

He cozied up to police in a BIG way. Cops want weed to stay illegal. Too much $$ in this for them to lose out on jail rent, civil forfeitures, and Fed co-op on raids. So the pressure will be enormous to lock us up, just like the pressure was on O to lock us up.

The police union is very influential.

Jobs go overseas to increase US corporate profits - the 1%. This only helps the 1%

Applying duty and tariff to imported products makes US-made products more attractive. But this hurts the 1%

So we'll see
I seem to recall they were giving corps credits FOR taking jobs out of the USo_O
