Like everything in life, there are certain people who try to do something themselves only to discover, one way or another, that they're not able to and need to have/pay somebody else to do it for them. These people tend to start out on forums like Rollitup and who need somewhere to just obtain it.LP's are for this right now as that's the only legal option. (Some people are coming into this who have never broken a law and want to stay that way). Now before you get off in a huff Hippy, I hate LP's as much as you do but, I believe there is room in this market for everyone, including them, but they're just being fucking greedy pigs about it. Nevertheless, until we fix that part and get dispensaries legal too, they are the only option right now for people who can't grow their own.
I've also been watching medical MJ in Canada for a long time now, mostly starting with the Mernagh case that brought in the MMPR, to the injunction and the Allard case (everyday on Twitter) and I've been waiting for this day for a long time. (I've been smoking since 79). That said, I am totally against anybody making money off of this and fucking things right up for me and everyone else who has fought for this. I'm just glad I can do what I love which is growing what I love and if they take that away from us there will be a lot of pissed off and hurt people including me. I will never do, or advocate for, anything that might jeopardize this.
What I would like to see, is every ACMPR home grower who has extra room/equipment, use the right they've been given to be a DG, and help someone out who can't grow and can't afford LP's. Maybe they just cover your costs like hydro and extra lighting, soil...
Also, I'm pretty sure that most of us will be growing quite a bit more than what we will use, so I would advocate for a compassionate collective that ACMPR growers could 'donate' their excess to. There are way too many people out there that are still choosing between their meds and food/rent/bills. Let's help them get some meds so they can use their money for the other necessities and live with a little peace of mind. Not like these so called "Compassion Clubs, like the one in my town, that still charge BM rates and sell sub par product. Not very compassionate if you ask me.
That's my rant.
