higher power lighting higher quality finished plant . less light lowers the yield and quality . skimping on the amount of light is not intended in this topic , take my word and every body else will tell you .more light the better can save electric less bulbs but yield will also go down . with your small set up why you stressed only 900 watts and that's about 85 bucks a month at .16 per kilowatt a bit less .

DJ Short uses 11/13 IIRC

I use 12/12 or 11/13 depending on my mood when I flip. Seems to finish faster on 11/13.

I use 11/13...haven't run 12/12 in a looonng time......You get a more stable blooming plant. Less stress, and less stress related issue's with a more positive finish....
I'll run 10/14 on slow running sativa's, going long - if I feel they need to "pick up the pace" a bit...

Those Black Russians and the GG, have had the light changed today to MH (600w) and a supplemental 400w Merc Vapor for the UV finish...They should finish out in about 5-7 days.....

Jeese and I kept it long enough in veg to simply take clones and bloom her out! No really trying as all I did was pop her in the bloom soil, wait 8 days and flip her!
And people don't "believe" in S1's FAH!
I'm very impressed with it!

thoughts on 24/0 vs Gas Light for Vegging?

also, does gas light work equally well on sativas vs indicas vs hybrids in your experiences?

IMO 24/0 should never be used unless maybe it's an auto

Gas light works great been doin it for years, some strains (rare, I've only had one plant) will start to flower under it

Right love the light schedule can't lie and I've only ever used 24h for clones

i've always done 24/0. switched over to 12/1 3 days ago on my tiny seedlings. gonna give it a shot this grow.
if it's been around since the Victorian age, i'm sure it works , just want to see for myself now.

some of the reading i've been doing says that 12/1 along with the diminishing light schedule (12/12 and work down to like 9/15 by harvest) is the best.

i've had good luck with 24/0 and then 11/13 but am willing to always try something different

I flower at 10:30/13:30

I do not diminish, tried it and saw no benefit

I flower at 12/12 have no prob running 12/1 for veg depends how I feel I guess idk lmao
