i flower w/ the 12/12 photo period,,however im just starting my second run doing somthing a bit different to save on electric.. have a 4ftx6ft f&d table, 30 plants in rock wool placed in 6inch net pots covered w/ grow rocks..
above table i have 3 315 watt ceramic(cmh, lec, cdl, whatever u like to call them) i use the 3100k phillips agro bulbs in both veg and flower...
at the start of 12/12 i keep lamps 3ft above canopy but only have 2 of the lamps on for the 12/12 period for the first 20 days of flower.. bvy day 20 plants are through the stretch, and plant canopy is full..the 3 lamps are inline centered above table and the middle lamp is the one left off till day 20..
at day 21 all 3 lamps go on and i keep the lamps at 28inches above canopy.. i did the same thing on my last run, before that i ran all 3 lamps start to finish..w all 3 running start to finish i yielded 1.6 gow,, last run using only 2 till day 20 then all3 to finish i yielded 1.5 gpw and cut $150.00 off the monthly electric bill..
i also did a few runs using only 2 lamps (630 watts) start to finish above table and yielded 1.4 gpw..
as i said this is my second try using 2 then 3 lamps,, but it seems to be a good way of cutting my electric wile keeping yields... has anyone else did testing this way??? if so what was the outcome???
