How much light does a photo strain need so it doesn't go into flower?

Min and max

So I'm going to put plants outdoor from from shelter around sunset in morning then put in shelter 2 hours and 15 mins from sunset at night so it doesn't get wet. How many hours will a photo strain need so it doesn't flower when I put in shelter which is a dark area

Thank you advanced

at least 18 hours of light but this is subjective from the person you talk to. Me personally I keep my plants under 24 hrs of light until I switch to flower.

I disagree with this statement many a mothers are kept under 18/6 and they don't flower. the plant will reach maturity and show sex but not go into full flower
I have done it. ...So disagree all you want... I don't care!! I've also kept mothers over a year at 24/7..

Talking about outdoors.

If the plant gets 6 hours light will it start flowering or stay in veg? Outdoors not indoor
You seem to have opened an old wound.. Lol

I get what you're asking.. And it's a bit more complicated than that. Are the hours of darkness indoors complete darkness with no light leaking through? And an even better question, how many hours of sunlight are there in the day where you are? Where I am, a plant would be forced to flower even if it had a good look at the sun from rise to set.. And another good question, do you really want to have to set an alarm every single day to move you plant in and out at the same exact time every day? If you can't do this you'll just be constantly stressing the plant out..every....day....

Telling some 1 that their plant will flower under 18/6 is ludicrous I've seen many mother kept on a 18/6 light schedule for More than a year and they don't just miraculously start to flower under this light schedule.
@afghanking @HydroRed @Dr. Who @tyler.durden anyone got a link
Did I say it miraculously flowered..no it started at 9 months and went to 13 months.. I'm just stating what I know to be true.. I am not a liar.. So call whoever you want I don't give a fuck!!!

for the 31 hours in day, i forgot. the reason 24/0 works is because it is not enough hours of DARK to initiate flowering, mimicking fall night, and the end of the season. maybe you should check for light leaks! HAHAHAHAH
