Hey guys,

So I put my one plant on a round spinning disc and connected a motor to it to keep it spinning. Anyways all the leaves are deformed growing in like circles... It seems like the plant want to grow towards the light but by spinning it it gets confused?

Anyone else experienced this?

Will post pics when she wakes up.

Basically its growing towards the light. But because the light is spinning the leaves are spinning too...

Yes, your plants is definitely confused. Remove the turntable, save the electricity, and rotate the plant a quarter turn a day by hand. She'll start growing proper in less than a week, although you may need to train her in order to truly undo all of the damage.

Thank you. I needed that...

there's a thing called the rpm or something like that i've seen around a few years ago.. i'd imagine the rpm would have to be set pretty low or you run into what's happening with your plants..
and i think you've got it.. photropism is the way that plants bend and move towards the light source.. i love phototropism and watching plants and trees move towards the way it receives light.. we have a big azalea out front that's moved over the summer a bit over the weeks, and i always sit out front having a smoke and have noticed and watched over the summer and into the fall now..
but yeah, ditch the technics, and it should straighten itself out in a bit..

OK...nobody else will, so I'll ask:

What in the name of all that is holy were you thinking when you decided to do this, OP?

i coulda lied and said i did the same thing.
this plant has just had a lot of silica and i forgot to turn it all day yesterday...
and i just repotted it100_2235.JPG
