Hi, I am a grower in China, sorry my English is bad, I know marijuana is not very popular here, but I just love it, and it is my first post.

Problem: I am suffering the problem of root rot, every time I changed the water, my root was going to rot.

Mistakes I have found since now: 1. Light penetrate the tank slightly, 2. I full the tank when first time changing water, but second time I half the tank, root rotted still. So sad. Can I say the 'F' word?

Here are some pictures for you to laugh:

Fertilizer: Canna Aqua production line, which includes[Aqua vega A&B, RHIZOTONIC, CANNAZYM, CANNABOOST], and now I think it is a bad brand and I am going to use Advanced Nutrients for the next time, because I have hope on 'Voodoo juice'; Many experts had their huge amazing root balls with 'Voodoo juice', according to youTube videos. I think I need Bacteria, a lot of Beneficial Bacterias.

Seeds: Freebies from Nirvana, its were for test, so I used the freebies;

Temperature: air 20-25, water 20;

Water: Material Water with 35 PPM;

Air Pump: huge ones, 8W*2, kind of expensive;

Water Tank: 20 Liters for three plants;

Light: 250W HID;

Stop growing in water and use a medium like soil or coco you'll have a much easier run at it, water takes no prisoners and will fuck you up in a heart beat, unless you have everything you need to maintain your water. I made this mistake trying new methods, but I now grow in coco all the time and have 10/10 success rate from start to finish.

Only time i got the rot is when the water was too hot. In that small area i bet the water is over 80degrees, start dropping frozen water bottles in a couple times a day, keep water temp below 70. Your nutes are fine.

This image seems to show the real problem: you're trying to grow in a medium of what looks to be candy, gumballs, and cherry tomatoes. Try a more conventional medium like hydroton or perlite. Also, use water. My plants really seem to like it. Good luck!
Thx 4 ur advices! I will consider them. And best wish to you.

chiller is expensive and noisy, because there will be a water pump. I was doing it in my restroom, so...
I will do perlite next time. BTW, what is nickname of 100% perlite growing? "Hempy pot"?right

Yeah, I think your advices are definitely right, I was fucked by root rot for thousand times, guess my heart is "strong". this time I will go with perlite. but how often to me to water the plant? I have no idea, Perlite holds water, but I cant see the situation clearly.

and guess what, I have used COCO last year, but root rot, you know why, because the CoCo I brought from china is way way bad, there were not sterile. so I steam them, but the PH was so low, you just cant adjust it anyway, after all, so sad, Im Chinese, but 'made in china' fucked me always.

Recirc drip feed with expanded clay, don't waste your time with a hempy bucket... or just keep it simple and use soil
