Today I found a tiny bit of budrot on 3 of 4 plants. The weather is just going to get worse.
Are they close enough? Should I take them down?

I'm with him on this one. Pull out the mold you can find, then just keep a close eye on it. Your quality will be 10x better if you can let it go another 1-2 weeks. Is it an option for you to cover it with greenhouse plastic? That's what I'd do.. Will really reduce your chances of mold. Can always go shake branches off after it's done raining to, that will help some. Best of luck!

I didn't see where 2hight said anything about 6 days of rain. If so then it's obviously a no brainer to chop chop.

I've dealt with it several dozen times, you've done right by chopping the diseased parts out, inspection the plant everyday at least twice and remove any infection, be sure to be careful to be slow to avoid spreading spores, use a plastic bag, if it's raining or high humidity pull under cover and I use a fan to keep it dry in my shed on wet days but that's overkill but it works for me. I've saved many harvests this way and sometimes I stopped it dead and others lost more, but it's pretty cool to stop something that most consider a death sentence.

Your plants do not look all the way finished.
You might consider taking some whole plants and leaving some, or part of a plant and leaving the rest to mature further, then either way after all is said and done, you'll know what to do for next time and know which ones are hardy and when the best harvest window is for the effect you want.
If you are ambitious you could construct a temporary rain cover out of clear plastic and maybe even put something like a light bulb in there to lower the humidity etc. (make sure the bulb remains off during the dark period)
Don't allow the plastic roof or walls touching the buds and you might want to leave some room at the bottom for air flow etc. Tall tomato stakes or sticks can hold plastic pretty well and even withstand some wind if you bind it good. Do the best you can to create a hostile environment for mold.
Some people don't like to spray anything on buds this late in the game, but I recommend you read up on that topic and understand the pros and cons of the various things people use. Good luck.

I guess.. You can get cheap greenhouse plastic at Home Depot for like 10-20 bucks.. And his quality will be so much better if he continues to let it go.. Way to much pre mature outdoor out there. So with just a little effort you can stand out from the crowd and have great quality smoke. If it was a guerrilla grow I'd say chop it, but at a home grow where you can put up greenhouse plastic and protect it from rain & humidity - do that.
Here's one of my strains that is still unripe and has a little bit of botrytis starting. we are expecting rain so I built a greenhouse to put it in and will let it go a minimum of one more week. Will get much denser, stinkier & tastier. To each their own, do what you gotta do

Make sure the structure is strong enough to withstand wind, and covers the plant but does not trap moisture inside. It's a delicate balance between covering them and keeping air flow. A "cover" will keep rain off, but will do nothing to "keep out" humidity, at least not here in the NW. If you go full cover/greenhouse (i.e. cover from the ground up) be sure to have fans running in there. Just evaporation coming up off the wet ground is enough to support mold, and putting up a structure this late in the season will be built on a damp ground.
