No one has moved to decriminalization, It's all be legalization so far.
Decriminalized things don't need their own special tax, legalized things do.

But the other part about self governance is pretty spot on no matter on which side of the fence you reside, we just have to stop voting party line in a way that confirms it.

many states decriminalized before they legalized MMJ. on a state level legalization is the issue. but on the federal level it is still a schedule 1 drug with serious penalties. my state votes on legalized recreational use in november and many of the young people I talked to said this was the only reason they plan on voting.

So those many states got it 1/2 right and they are truly making inroads. The pity is the federal gov't is so cronyism bound w/ Big Pharma that it will probably still take another 20 years for that to happen at a federal level, if it does at all.

It's a pity that the young folk can't see any other issues as being as important, but I was much the same many years ago too.

I think people have issues with being called anything that isn't accurate
if somebody called me a small female it would be a lil insulting, not too bad, and NOT because there is anything wrong with small females (my personal fav, actually)
but it's just not an accurate insult.
