100mA can be lethal..

"Can be " yes,for me its prob not gunna happen.i been hit twice by 200amps 240 volt.im still breathing and it was not lethal lol.coulda been but my time was not on the docket those days haha.@churchhaze where did you get that?
Its not about us licking the driver wires here, its the safety factor of running cob holders slightly over "rated" volts.most of us are fine, but im def seeing more new diy,ers looking at larger drivers.
Heres a idea i will never have time for so someone take it and make it.
Its a ideal style cob holder, all steel.but instead of push in type spring connections.you insert the wire into a similar slot that is filled with flux. and then from the topside you have a hole where you can insert a soldering iron and its already got enough solder in there so when you apply heat it welds/solders the wire directly to the cob prolly triple the volt ratings we currently see :)

Wet skin can be as low as 1k resistance. If you put 240V across that, you get 240mA, not 200A. 100mA is actually more likely to kill you than 200-1000mA as it has a tendency to put your heart in fibrillations.

Well then we should all stop messin with these led drivers and use car batteries :o
