Why is Communism bad?

3. If Obama bin Biden wins, we will be that much closer to communism.

4. If McCain/Palin wins, it will set the progressive movement back 50 years.

Therefore, the old Libertarian that I am, will be voting the McCain/Palin ticket. Yeppers ... the first Republican presidential nominee I've voted for since The Gipper.

Well, I don't really know how to answer this other than to say Ron Paul doesn't stand a chance of winning and a vote for Ron Paul is a vote for Obama. The "machine" as you call it, being run by an Obama administration, will be FAR worse for liberty overall than McCain/Palin. Think Supreme Court nominees and nominees to all the other federal judgeships.

Would you rather have Judge Andrew Napolitano sitting on the Supreme Court, or Hillary Clinton?

Actually, the republican machine that has ran Nevada for the past 100 years has become so corrupt that our sitting governor (A republican) was almost indited on attempted rape, is involved in numerous scandals, and is about to be petitioned out of office along with a handful of republican cronies. The last governors race was so close, there is much speculation that the "machine" fixed it. I believe you can give the credit to all those super intelligent Californians that have invaded our state. Thanks to them, we'll be handing our 5 electoral votes to Obama this year,~LOL~.

Believe me they've tried to cover it up, and you won't hear that in a navy training film, but talk to some of the survivors and the story comes out. A real smartass and a Joker. A spoiled rich kid. I give him Kudos for his POW experience, My brother was a POW in Nam for 4+ years, he never quite healed from that, in fact it eventually killed him as he died from a ruptured esophagus at 54, attributable to his mistreatment in Nam. He was my size, 6 ft and he weighed 85 lbs at one point during his confinement in the jungle, no Hanoi Hilton for him. Well that and the constant Agent orange spraying.

Compassion is destructive. I really doubt being allowed to jerk off all day does anything for an individual's motivation, nor does it help their self-image. I think I'd kill myself if I was sucking on the government tit, mostly because I'd realize that I was nothing but a worthless piece of shit.

The only thing that has consistently moved the entire world forward is profit motive, and being free from obligations to others and thus being free to make great gambles on ideas that may or may not work out.

The moment you prevent people from taking risks (to guarantee government revenue from them) you destroy any society.

Im serious. i think we should start adopting some communistic policies in this country. these are some of the things i heard teachers say in school when they talked about communism. (they were always preached out like a anti-drug lecture or a prejudice rant.)

1: communism sucks because the government chooses your occupation. you can't "be what ever you want to be when you grow up" so you would hate your life. (well i dont know too many people who are happy even though they supposedly had a choice of what job they got.)

Simply put, no. No state ever claiming any socialist origins ever did this, and all people saying this are making it up out of thin air.

2: communism sucks because without the competition of the free market, industrial and commercial innovation would be uncommon. if you work harder youll get paid the same amount of money, so whats the point? (a horribly greedy ideal to teach kids in my opinion. i dont believe this would be true. the simple gratification of a hard days work would drive most people to do their best. ((plus, blind patriotism has made people in this country buy millions of miniature car window flags and thousands of roles of Osama toilet paper. im sure people wouldnt mind busting some ass simply to make Uncle Sam proud.)))

Wrong again. Pay differences exist in socialism and in EVERY socialist state (unless you count some of the non Marxist anarchist communes established for a short while during the Spanish Civil War as socialist, which depends on your definition of socialism).

right now, we're overpopulated, we are destroying the environment, we're making our foreign relations even worse, and nobody outside the top 15% of the nation is actually gaining from it. (didnt there used to be a middle-class?) kids are starving, the mentally ill and physically addicted roam the streets, and young men and women are supporting a war for college tuition.

And communism is nothing more than a different form of economics, if you're just analyzing the average apolitical worker. If communism, a system based on need, would require men being angels to work, I'd hate to think what Capital-Ism would require men to be.
