Never buy them at hydro stores. Go to Home Depot. They got awesome
spray bottles. Those Zep ones for chemical spraying and shit.
Awesome nozzle and sprayer. Best you can get.

Rookie mistake #2 Planning
Since you skipped over the studying part you're not all that familiar with a proper grow room environment(with your non-reading ass). So you didn't take the time to go over what you needed and how to set it all up correctly. There are a lot of things to consider here. Things like heat and air exchange, plant count, vertical grow space, and lets not forget smell:shock:

Rookie mistake #3 Over-fucking-watering
Now that you got a little corner of your closet all decked out with a 14w cfl that you stole from the kitchen, a cut up milk jug with miracle-grow soil, and tin foil taped to the walls you're going hard! So you have to make sure this little bitch goes hard too. Time to pour a gallon of water on half a gallon of soil at least 3-4 times a week, that'll do it! NO NO and NO! The soil does NOT need to be fully saturated 24/7! Go back to mistake #1 and read up on watering you asshole:finger:

Rookie mistake #4 Over-fucking-loving
The plant is wilting and the leaves aren't as green as they were yesterday so you flip teh fuck out! You start seeing all these deficiencies. Is it P? No, maybe it Ca? Maybe I burnt it? Must be time for a flush! Yea, lets dump MORE water on it to clean out all that nasty shit in the soil:roll:. You go through all this stuff in your head when its probably just over watered. If you stopped trying to figure out what's wrong with it and backed off the watering, everything would've been fine. Which leads to the next mistake.

Rookie mistake #5 Lack of patience
Because you over loved the plant, you never gave it time to fully recover before you created another problem. Most of the time you have to just let the poor plant grow. We get in our own way sometimes by being impatient. Lack of patience can fuck you in more ways then one when it comes to growing. There is not one single stage of growing weed that can be rushed from seedling to vegging to flowering to harvest to drying and finally curing. You should not skimp out on any of those 6 stages of growing.

Reading this will NOT make you a master grower, but I do hope it helps a new grower avoid a few headaches on their journey to slangin bows and pimpin hoes:hump:. Growing Cannabis can be a very rewarding experience, but there are some that have gave it up because they made it more difficult than it needed to be.

Rookie mistakes extended:

#6 Bad strain choices. Newbies sometimes grow harder strains like sativa's i.e. hazes or diesel or something along those lines.
Or something that grows too tall or big for small tents.

#7 Start up costs. It's important to have some basic equipment like ph and ppm meters, reverse osmosis device, exhaust fans,
and odor equipment.

#8 Bragging or telling people about their grows. Loose lips sink ships.

#9 And, waiting too long to address problems when they arise in the garden.

Each of these is equally as important as the 1st five......

Has nobody on here made a full comprehensive guide on everything you'd need to start up a grow yet? I mean theres alot you should know, but the basics for a good setup, the equipment used, seeds, nutrients, the grow cycle, training techniques, growing styles. I could go on, but I mean a full guide on the barebones of a grow all listed neatly.

Instead of making a do's and don't guide, maybe help out people who have literally just started from the ground up and suggest what they should use based on the size of a specific setup.

Literally, I've done no more than a few months of reading. Around February of this year I was asking questions on here non-stop, I can see a few names in this thread that probably hate me for what I've asked in the past due to my over-optimism in this "industry".

I could never imagine something looking like this at it's early stages of life, with a nutrient toxicity

I'm almost at the end of my first ever grow, just another week to go. Flushing currently.
First of many, my next grow will be twice as good. I'll document it neatly this time around.
I'm going to be using SSDD seeds by Bodhi. Bought a pack a week back.

Currently learning about phenotypes, cloning, cuttings, root stimulants and dwc. Instead of growing using the ScroG method. I'll be doing a perpetual grow, using SoG instead. So my heads pretty full atm bongsmilie:joint::bigjoint:

Thanks man. I was trolling some idiot and went too hard on him. Next thing you know everything is running super slow. Like dial up speed. Thats how RIU deters bad behavior, they put you on slow motion aka turtle mode.

That was a fuckin masterpiece GG well said and hopefully well read ....I vote sticky also ...........patience use to always fuck me when I first started growing ......then later on in life I met a stripper with that name and fucked her back ........good old patience still got an std from that one ....because I was to impatient to get a rubber .....nevermind I guess me and patience are even .......anyways good post though I enjoyed it for real

image.jpg This is turtle mode at my house ........there obviously my Arizona desert tortoises but they have a shell and are slow so close enough ........should have babies soon actually though
