There's a lot of republicans out there who are at least as disgusted with their party as we Sandernistas are about the DNC.
I think these folks could all have a very interesting discussion as we'd find we share a lot of common ground.
THAT would terrify the apparatchiks of both parties!

I was talking to my parents about it past weekend. It is unbelievably sad. As soon as the right to vote was given the racist elite switched to other methods to control blacks.

no, it was geographic. southern democrats and republicans opposed it. northern democrats and republicans supported it.
now the south is firmly republican and the north is solidly democrat, and the KKK is supporting trump.
don't try to rewrite history, it makes you look even more stupid and desperate.

Good of you to share the history lesson, it did help me clear up what was going on. I did live in the south for a time- but I was young, gullible, in college and had made the mistake of taking what (white) politicians said at face value.

The fact that the KKK came before the Chump is the part that's irrelevant.
He's a fascist demagogue, spewing hate speech at every opportunity. That the KKK publicly supports him and the fact that he hasn't been at all forceful or convincing in his repudiations says everything that needs to be said about his racist campaign and those who support it.
He's a completely narcissistic wannabe dictator, of a type well represented in the history books we don't ask our children to read anymore.
Those who don't learn their history are doomed to repeat it. I just hope there aren't so many of you that you manage to succeed in dragging the rest of us through those lessons again.
