Here starts a thread to keep track of my progress from here on out and to get help from veteran outdoor growers. I started these plants back In march indoors and moved them out around may 30th. So far they are doing excellent! I believe they are just beginning the stretch (anyone know when It ends outdoors?) and looking healthy.

This here is Green Crack (HSO). She grows incredibly fast...I couldn't even get all of her in one shot:bigjoint:
IMG_0120.JPG

There's a problem tho..that drastic lean she's got going on. Anyone know What I could do to help her out? I was thinking get some non rotting rope or something, feed it around the base of the stalk, feed it around the base of a tree that's behind her, pull enough so she's more upright then tie a knot..What do you think?
Also there's a few shoots in the back that don't get much sunlight til later on..think I should cut them to promote more growth up top? I'm torn.

For such a huge plant, I can't believe the stalk doesn't have more girth..
IMG_0122.JPG

This is Jamaican Dream (Eva Seeds). I imagined this plant would be much bigger than it is now and I'm pretty sure she's already gone through the stretch because she's an early flower'..must be genetics. Lookin back I definitely should have topped her once or twice.

How far along are these flowers? This is what had me thinking she's already gone through stretch..but THIS EARLY? I'm impressed with this sativa.

This is Mango Sapphire (HSO). This plant is..well..interesting. She's an absolute midget. It must be the soil that caused this..its pretty clumpy with a good amount of clay. Did as much as I could to lighten the soil but I guess It didn't work. Anyways the smell permeating the nearby air is STRAIGHT mango fire. God I love the smell.

This is the most interesting part about this girl. Her 8 fingered monster fan leaves. There's a solid fifteen. I feel like she put energy into her leaves instead of growing up and out..weird. Earlier I wanted to cut these leaves out but didn't because I know that's their food source..I just don't know lol I'm excited to see her in a few weeks though:weed:

So yeah, there's three of the six. I'll have pics of the other three up in a few days/week. Til then, peace brothers:blsmoke:

They have tomato cages on them is that enough? It'd be rough hauling a bigger cage out to the spots. Maybe 6' bamboo instead?
I like to have some wire mesh around the outside of the pot for wind and weight protection, those plants look like they could have a few LBs. flapping around in the wind. some strains have so many buds they would likely break without the second layer and it is another layer to slow the thieves

Thanks guys, appreciate the feedback. Doublejj/Eddy, do I need to have bamboo set up for that type of cage to work or just simply throw it atop of the plant and put the shoots through each individual hole? Thanks

Edit: My bad was thinking of those mesh nets you put on top of a huge plant..It'd be a lot of work bringing big wire mesh cages out to the spot but if it means support and security..don't think I have a choice

well if it's too remote to put wire cages, do the best you can with some bamboo & net trellis. best of luck

Here are the other three girls. Had some crazy wind yesterday night..so crazy it tore off a head from a huge willow tree nearby. Minor damage to these plants here, just the Blue Blood that had one of the branches bend a bit. I'm a bit worried about my other three though...most specifically the Jamaican Dream thats so fuckin tall and lanky. Anyways heres some pics:

This is Blue Blood and the branch I was speaking of. This plant also has quite a lean going on..I will cage them up further with wire mesh but first I feel like I need to spray paint them with camo/green paint or else they'll stick out like a sore thumb.

C99 In all her glory! Expected her to be a bit bigger but what're you gonna do? Could be that I can only water once a week at MOST hoping rain will do a lot for me. When I water these plants I give two gallons per. That enough?

Yellowing a bit early need to add some N :???:

Very far along for July 24 IMO

This is Euphoria..Super excited about her. Seems she is still in stretch as there's really no sign of flowering other than the basic two pistils here and there. She had a branch LST'd by a deer or something and it has completely bounced back looking lush and great..shown in the pic below

Almost a full shot of her:weed:

A good rule of thumb for watering is one gallon per foot. So no, two gallons per is not as much as they need. But many of mine get much less. I carry in two 5 gallon buckets for from as few as 6 to as many as 10 plants. And I don't get to go every week to some of them. I do pray for rain though.

Your plants are looking great.

Was going to tie up that branch as soon as I get my hands on gardeners tape which should be very soon. Damn carrying in ten gallons? I carry in six and that is a fucking trek and I consider myself pretty damn fit.

Thinking for next year It's essential to work out an irrigation system where my plants can get much more water especially since I want to up the anty in pot size up to 100 gallons.

This caught my eye https://www.amazon.com/Treegator-Junior-15-Gallon-Release-Watering/dp/B0012GTJFI/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1469382725&sr=8-3&keywords=tree+waterers but wondered how I could close up the holes til I got to my spot..feel like this would be the next best thing from a self sustainable irragation system

Those plants are gorgeous. That long legged girl looks really nice. :hump:
I really miss the c99. I think that is my favorite smoke. I had seeds from BG through Gypsy back when it came out. I found a really nice mom out of the 10 pack and did a few run in a closet. Life happens though and I lost her. It was the only smoke I had back then that my friends would pass on after a few rips.

I have one patch that has 12 plants. When I go there, I take a bucket of water in each hand, plus four 1 gallon jugs on my backpack. But I do have to stop and rest every 10 minutes or so. I'm 55, so not kicking as high as I used to.

You should look into making a rain catcher with a tarp and trashcan. I have one, and it does a pretty good job. As long as it rains once in a while, that is.

Damn Larry you got my respect. Makes me feel like a pussy at 18 lol. How far away are you spots? Also the tarp idea is a good one I'm going to set one up for next year..I can probably set up a few and have them collect water+snow over the winter right?
