no till,

all stuff from bunnings originally,
cow poo, chook poo, compost and pea straw layered in a 50l recycling tub
thats it.

however the mix is getting pretty old now and i have since been adding bokashi compost and horse manure as well but thats pretty much it. very simple i only add water

Nice man!! That sounds like a good mix!
I use bunnings stuff as well but I mix in some guano, lucerne (alfalfa meal), kelp meal, neem meal, dolomite lime and worm castings. Seems to work real well if I water with compost teas, potash and some mag sulfate :)
I might be way over thinking my mix though, you get just as good a result as I do anyway...but way cheaper ha ha

Yeah I think canna growers over do almost everything.
I learned that in hydro. There's a million additives but really all you need to grow good pot is base nutes.

I always thought of organic gardening but whenever I looked it up everybody made it look so difficult and it looked like you needed all these weird exotic soil ingredients. It was overwhelming. It wasn't until I started growing veges in my back yard I realised organic growing is just like hydro in that all you really need is the basics. Canna growers just make it look difficult.

Spot on man, its so easy to over think it! I initially went with sub cools recipe and made one of my own, it works really well but when I see grows like yours getting the same or better results with less, I'll be going the KISS principle from here out!! Must admit though, compost teas for veges makes them grow insanely quick and big, my garden this year i used guanos and home made amended compost and wow, all my friends kept commenting on how big and tasty the fruit was. I'll be doing it again this year for sure!!
