last test for this setup, @85watt

Test conditions:
-60cm*60cm footprint with 49 points in a Gorila 4*4 tent
-The frontdoor of the gorilla tent was open, so dont wonder if the # from 1-7 are a bit lower
-exhaust fan was on, around 360m/h3
-Cobs was mounted on different heatsinks of the same type
-ambient temperature was around 25C
-I let every cob run for around 2hours before i did the test
-i checked Volt and Ampere after 2 hours running the led, to got the "correct" numbers
-pin fin heatsinks /active with computer fan @ full power(the fan) / link: http://noctua.at/de/nf-a14-industrialppc-3000-pwm/specification
-no reflector or lens
-arctic mx 4 apllied with hard razor blade, pretty thin layer only

Really good stuff @Malocan.

Here's something just for fun using your measurements, hopefully helpful in visualizing how reflectors are affecting your overall setup.

I still like the no reflector version. I wonder what this looks like if you lower the lamp with no reflector so the PPFD max matches the reflector version at 60cm. Might help you find the highest PPFD with the best uniformity.

Looking at the first picture I couldn't even count bands, let alone see colors. The other three are way sharper.

...the zoom of guod are better... on the past i have a old program to do magnificients of great quality...i must search this old program... maybe dissapear on actually... her icon program its a big eye... dont remember her name...

Fantastic, any chance you could do a 1 x 1825 test @ 2.1amps?

I would love to see the PFF/D numbers and even seeing two of these spaced 2' away in a 5x5 @ 2.1amp would be interesting

It wasn't the program, it was the photo. The first one was blurry. Making jokes with slight language barriers can be difficult.

@Malocan can you repeat the test with at least two sides of the 60x60cm having a reflective wall?
edit: i will do a test in a 80cm*80cm tent with reflective walls and without, but this i will do in a week

i can do only test up to 2,028amps(clu058 ) with the measurement method which i use for volt and ampere

die formel für leistung ist P= U x I

Thank you very much for taking the time and share the whole informations guod, they do help me a lot.

Yesterday i wanted to test the clu058 @ over 2.2amps, but it was not possible. I pushed the 1-10volt dimmer to maximum, then i did measurement with my multimeter to check amps and volts from the cob.
But maximum Amps was only around 2ampere and around 52 volt.

After reading your post twice, i think it is like that:
Does the 1 ohm resistance add 2,4volt to the driver? 52Volt from the cob + 2,4volt(1 ohm) = 54,4volt
But the driver maxium is 54Volt@2,8amps
So is maybe that the reason why i cant run the cob higher?

i tested the cxb3590, and it worked, to run it higher @ watt in compare to the clu058

Also, how much heat does the cob put off at this wattage, is it noticeable?

PPFD goes up the closer you get, and your plants will tell you when it's too much. You already know the 1825 is going to output more than a 3590, and somewhere between 30-60cm will be fine depending on your optics and garden. Maybe higher if you really crank them or use narrow optics. Lots of variables, easy to figure out in practice.

No need to sweat stuff this small.

I sent timber Dan that led tech.de site to see if he could make some DIY lights in 450 blue. He can so that'll be awesome! I wonder if all the Osram SSL line up was renewed.... Up to 3 umol/j

im not sure but i think osram has released some new bins for their horticulture leds.
I never saw before such good output from their monos, but maybe im wrong and they are old.

those 660nm are DEFINITELY binning toward the top of the elusive 3T4T bin
and the 120 degree chips are new (and sick!). heres the old SSL80 datasheet

i think 660 has 2 different bins, because if i check this internet side they say it has "only" 400mw
