NC Governor blocks the Public From Easy Access to Cops Bodycam Footage

You know they can blur your info out right?

Seattle had a group of programmers working with them to blur out personal info before releasing the videos to the public.

Get out more bro.

So for every 8 hours a cop works we now need a tech weenie to review and blur out data, voice and other information? So anything actually interesting is gonna be blurred out at incredible expense (1 person for each cop) so that some dufus on the internet can watch the edited tape later?

Sounds like a huge liberal clusterfuck!!

That tunnel vision must come from sticking your head up your ass so much. Is your head dildoshaped by now or is your ass that deformed? Or a combination of the two that makes it work for you?

well, if it help to keep the libs quiet about there being no transparency, yeah. so don't do it because it's hard? i'm sure in this age of fcebook recognizing people by their face, the technology is there to do it by algorythm.

Dont do it because it is hard and expensive and results in almost nothing except tape for bored people to watch.

Have the tape on file retrievable by court request.

Those get buried in red tape until the case is out of the public eye. That is exactly what has led to this.

is that the same gov. who signed the bill so people could get medical cannabis oil in N.C. ?

You mean bathroom bill boy? He begrudgingly signed it but there is no way of getting it here. Cant transport it csnt produce it. Effective right?

Hemp is going to be technically legal here but there can be no government money involved in the setup of the commission to study it. So people interested in hemp have to raise the money themselves to pay the government to set up this commission. Neuters and delays it unnecessarily. He is an ineffective piece of shit.

bored people pay taxes. the police work for the taxpayers. if you put access behind court orders, then there is more room for fuckery. why shouldn't everyone have access to the videos?

I read an article in a business magazine where industrial hemp manufacturing was taken place there and saw pics of fields grown the last few years. too

Kentucky, not here. The country's largest hemp processing facility is in this state but you still can't grow here.

just googled that again says its legal.

several other articles on it too.

that gov is going in the right direction as far as cannabis/hemp.
do not know enough about the body cameras yet.
seems like more force in a way for them to video a citizen's wrong doing than to catcth the cops wrong doing

Nope he's holding it back along with the Republican majority. A lot of other politicians want to decriminalize small amounts. THAT would be an incremental step worth talking about. He's caving in to fear and ignorance which runs rampant around here.

People still frown on tattoos (selectively) here.

He will be out of office next election because of all of this.

decriminalize any and all cannabis/hemp is the correct step.
looking down on tats. that is terrible. I'll need long sleeves w/ a turtle neck too, there. cops video me there i'll be under arrest for sure for something.

Again, because the body camera is pointed at you, not the cop... Personal information, embarassing situations, etc. would be on tape. Say you are fucking your girlfriend with the music up really loud and someone calls the cops and tells them your girl is screaming like she is being murdered.

So the cops break into your apt to save her and film you fucking the shit out of her... Sorry sir but police cameras are for public viewing....

Yeah, this sounds like such a great idea....

I am for the cameras. I am not for making everything public that is on them and I am not for editing every tape just so some bored person can go through them at will.

well, that's certainly a scenario that a 55 year old virgin like you would never have to worry about.

like i said, an algorithm can easily be made to mute names and address and blur faces and license plates extremely easily.
