It takes down or boost rep points depending on how much rep the giver has. Like if a Mod gave you a neg rep it takes you down alot. I got a positive rep from Al B Fuct and it took me up some shit of points. So if someone like that neg reps you you go down tremendously.
But it doesn't matter it just makes you look higher on the Rollitup Chain, its not special to have 10 red bars.
