Next one should be a hack the root off versus boil. I did try the boil thing years ago after I read about it, and I can't remember the outcome but pretty sure if it made a huge difference I'd still be doing it. But they were not the type of grows I was too concerned about in the proper cure catagory, hung, dried and bagged :).
 
I just don't get why lopping off the roots isn't the same re lack of O2 but that's why I'm paying attention to this. Perhaps I'll do a couple of outdoor ones in the fall. Now Id have to fill my 100 litre Res with boiling water lol.

I use heavy rhizotonic at max dosage during those times to fill it which is 16ml per gal roots explode and I use mycos every transplant as well I know the canna will kill them due to being part synthetic but it's not fully so the mycos gets a chance to boost em as well.
 
you guys are over thinking things, the original way to do this was to leave the roots in water for 2 weeks, cutting off the oxygen.
when oxygen is cut off, sugar inside the plant begins to ferment.
Pouring boiling water on the roots is just a much faster way of getting this reaction to start. it isn't going to turn shit weed into gold, it isn't going to turn mids into top shelf. It just makes it so the cure begins much sooner than if you didn't boil the roots.

I understand that and I don't need it to do shit I just want to see for myself if there is any truth to it. Believe me my quality is thru the roof I shit on almost every dispensary in Colorado without trying I just want to see if it gives any unique qualities of curing to the bud faster. Here's me at day 35 of flower believe me I'm just wanting to try something different

when the plant is done, this is not a start flushing 2 weeks to chop kinda thing, water it with boiling water, leave it under the lights, for 3 to 5 days, the plant will fade and take on an appearance of done, chop and process normally

Sounds much like "ringing" the stem. Ever try that?
