Only possible place I can find to grow is heavily wooded. Is this worth the trouble? I'm growing for one person, a quarter pound would last me a year.

If there is light coming through then sure why not. But I will say without good light it will be stretchy and thin...a decent wind could snap it in half. Make sure you support it.Only possible place I can find to grow is heavily wooded. Is this worth the trouble? I'm growing for one person, a quarter pound would last me a year.

thumper60 already answered your questionSo shade grown weed results in a really small yield. Is it any good? If I start w quality seeds, will my small crop be worth having?
One dead or fallen tree in a forest is going to give him like 10 mins of sunlight.im sure if theres lots of trees you can find one that is either dead or has fallen over....or a spot where u can cut down some small ones (i dont recommend this option).
In other words..look harder.
Funny...it gives me hours of direct sunlight..Those root balls are huge, when the tree falls it makes a decent cleared area. I also use the root balls for cover, wind breaks, loose dirt..and to hang tarps from for water collection. One dead or fallen tree in a forest is going to give him like 10 mins of sunlight.
Really? Is tour Forrest dense? New England Forresta tend to be dense. Dense in the valley's and clear's as you get higher on the ridges. Key is to find old growth forests with large trees. large trees make big gaps when they fall.Really? Is tour Forrest dense? New England Forresta tend to be dense. That's sweet you have spots like that
On yea if you can find that golden big ass tree that falls and leaves a nice path for the sun to smash the plants all day, I see in my head if the tree falls a certain way it could line up a pretty good gap in the canopy. Gurrillagronomics right there, I'll keep that little gem of wisdom in mindDense in the valley's and clear's as you get higher on the ridges.
