Going Vertical - 4x4 Tent

Put it to you this way...it's not that you will automatically go from, say, .5gpw to 1.5gpw if you go from horizontal to vertical with all other factors remaining the same. What vertical will afford you is a higher margin of error in terms of yield, and it will make it easier to get a higher yield with the same container size, media, etc. simply by virtue of the efficiency of the system and the amount of light that actually hits the plants when compared to a horizontal setup.

Not sure if I'm explaining that well or not, I feel like that doesn't make sense as I write it even though it makes perfect sense in my head.
Lool thats owsome :blsmoke::roll:

Hey there just one more question. Are you getting those yields per plant or per grow. I'd hope that's per plant, otherwise I'd just go back to horizontal grows, I've pulled over a lb off one plant. But never in any less than 30l of soil

When I vegged for 6 weeks grom seeds not clones and flower in 9, 18liters pots of coco seemed big alittle

BUT

Per plant. normally 4 or 5 in a 1.2m squared cab with 2 600s. Looking at those plants I still think they don't look like they need potting up anytime soon, but that's just my opinion of course.

Think in it like that..in A certin point of growth

Its out of question that as long as you have a bigger pots and well established plants the time will be less and the yield will go up

As you can see how beautiful they are also budding faster in those larger pots ;)

Two weeks into flower (from going 12/12) today.

Owsome job for two weeks!!

im facinated with verticle growing,ive been thinking of trying to rig a verticle net about 6 inches from my closet wall and weaving them through that like a trellis,angle lights as needed etc.WALL OF BUDS FTW...lol.

looking good paulie!

I think that the only draw back that you need more of floor space maybe...

And must be done with long veg time so the plants reach an ideal hight?

What do you think Resin?!

In a few months on thinking of swapping the 1kw bulb for two 315w cmh. You think that would be worth it? There definitely not cheap to buy.

If I got a cob led. Do you just hang yours horizontally for additional lighting or face it towards a vert wall?

Honestly man FUCKEN OWSOME THREAD AM GOING CRAZY AT THE MOEMNT THROUGH IT..

Impressive.....

Wow good thinking man, love how you work and think guys :clap::peace:

NO, and here's why; the CMH lamp isn't special in and of itself. It actually would run on that ballast. It just wouldn't be very bright.

The whole reason the lamp is so efficient has everything to do with the ballast it runs on. It's a low frequency digital square wave driver; low freq because the ceramic pit can't handle high frequencies and the square wave is why the ballast is relatively expensive, but this is the key to the 30% improvement in performance.

315W CMH in the foreground, 600W HPS in back;

Aint they alittle bit close to the bare bulbs tty?

If you like this go into the vert section and check out ttystikk grows or heaps of the other talented vert growers. This is just my first vert run. Next run will be even better and then the one after that will be dwc, so that's going to be exciting.

I would put the 125W CFL on the shelf. If you want to use CFL tech, use smaller lamps and more of them, to allow you to get more foliage closer to the light source. Or use T5. Or even a simple shoplight. The shape of the 125W CFL just doesn't lend itself well to growing things.

There is small florescent light that works inmidiatelly when lights go out. They are connected to the normal electricity outlets to charge and when lights are out its baaammm ON

They aint that efficient but at least you aint gonna stress the plants and change their light schedule

And if you have closed system with co2

You are just worried about as small gen to run few fans and couble small dehumidifiers till electricity is back

Will do. Thanks for the tip!

I'm still a little way off up grading. My 1000w needs replacing in June. So may wait till then. Just depends on how much they will cost
I would love to get the new 1000w DE lamps.. Ohh if you could get those in vertical setups... :cool::cool:
