Guys I need some help, I've been hesitating about posting this but it's been 3 weeks now and I need some answers. The sweet dwarf I have been growing something has definitley happened to it, I will be going on almost week 11 now and it's still the same...
So let me explain to you what is wrong. I will also attach a close up of the plant and bud so you can see what I'm talking about.

The past 3 weeks it has shown no sign of progress/advancement. It looks as if it started flowering and getting buds and then stopped. They are very spread out and airy like there's nothing really there. I found some articles that explain it. But no answers on how to fix the issue. Once again it's been like this for 3 weeks now just about and it hasn't started to dense up or fill in and I'm starting to get worried.

This sometimes happens when the seed itself is over a year or 2 old. Or the seed is very tiny. This accourance always seems to happen with auto flowers strains. Here is an example of halted growth from bad autoflower seed thats just over 3 years old. Growth is very very limited or no growth at all. Hows your ambient tempature? Is it stable? Is your tempature in your grow area fluctuating over 10 degress or more? Alot can factor in halted growth. Overfeeding can also promote lockout. If your introducing to much growth hormone you might of longated its flowering stages.

The temperature is pretty consistent. It isn't too hot like I've read either. It usually is around 74-80 at the most. With great humidity levels. I have only been feeding it twice a week... It's so weird because this plant was the fastest one to take off and grew the fastest and biggest and actually started producing buds much quicker than the other two. But it halted a few weeks ago for some odd reason. And the bud just isn't filling in. Like it's just really airy and fluffy as you can see in that picture like there really isn't anything even there lol... Is there anyway to fix this and get it to finish flowering and fill in/dense up????

Dam rman that sucks. How many hours of sleep do they get? And by any chance did you switch nutrients? Did you do anything you normally would not do? I'm stumped on advice for you.

Hey bro nice of you to chime in, they get 18 hours of light 6 hours of sleep. It has been 18/6 since the beginning. No switching nutrients I have used the fox farm liquid trio only. As for doing anything out of the normal I don't recall anything. I've been doing everything the same. I've noticed this for awhile with this plant but I just wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. But it's going on 3 weeks now and the bud just isn't filling in or anything like it's supposed to so I need to figure out what's wrong.

I don't know if it were on this page, but I had a debate with another about the how unstable auto flower seeds are. Then factor in the age of the seed as well as the other guy was saying. It can have absolutely nothing to do with you. With environment, light, nutes, whatever. Could just be genetics, and I don't have any advice other than cut dry and smoke her.

I will throw this at your head for a second, I was thinking, maybe if you tried to force maturity out of her. Put her on a light schedule of 10 hrs light, 14 hrs dark. This works to ripen regular plants if the won't finish in reasonable time. Allowing her to build up a high level of the chemical that triggers flowering will speed up maturity. Normally you want12 hrs grow time to get them big. But if there big enough and full enough and won't finish(I've done this with sativa that took 15 weeks to finish. Crystals would not Amber for me. Just kept going. I switched them to 10/14 and they matured in 10 days. Try it, what can it hurt at this point. That's my advice.

Hey busy I just started a couple autos a few days ago and they seem to be doing well, I'm a first time grower, and wanted something easy and really for personal use. I have them starting in Organic soil, and under cfls and take them out in the sun during the day, ive ordered leds and will eventually switch cfls with those. Any advice I have them in Dixie cups now when should I transplant into 3 gal smart pots. They are about 3 days old ill try and include pics.

I'm on my first grow with autos as well. The first thing anyone will tell you is once the seeds germinate, plant them in the container they're going to live in. They don't like to be transplanted. I'd transplant asap and keep your fingers crossed.

Yeah man. Cut away that Dixie cup and plant into a final pot. With soil, probably minimum 3 gallon (although I've seen inpressive results with 1 gallon, but keep it simple on your first grow).

Be aware that by taking them inside and outside everyday you could be bringing bugs in with you.

Good luck to you man!

Thanks for the input! Why is transplanting with Autos so bad? They are at the point where they all just developed that little set of leaves about a day ago, but I'll transplant today. Do you think I'll be ok? And should I forget taking them outside and just keep them under lights, any other tips would be awesome.

First of all you f***** up right off the bat you do not plant Autoflower into cups Auto followers get planted into their final pot no transplantation it shocks it instantly and stunts them. Trust me this is from experience. Every one stunted no matter how carefully I did the transplant. Immediately pull them and put in final pot, remember a gallon of soil for each month it will live, 3 months/3gallon pot. Do it before taproot hits bottom. Carefully remove them and plant them into the pots. Pronto

You will be fine, just don't pull the sprout, remove the cup from soil clump and place the cup snapped dirt ball into a pot filled, with a divit in center .

I appreciate it a bunch, I wish I would've found this site before putting them in. Thanks Busy, you mind if I keep updated on the grow and refer to you if I have any more questions. I have them on 24/0 light schedule do I need to give them any darkness any and all tips would help. Y'all seem to have got it figured out. Thanks again

I ran my 1st auto grow in a tent 3+3+6, with a 600 watt hid Mh/hps light on a 24/0 light schedule from cradle to grave. They grew awesome. Next grow I did 12 photo period regular female marijuana, vegged on 24/0, my autos were with them for 60days 24 hrs light, than I flipped my plants to flower12/12 and left my autos in there with 12hrs dark to finish.and they were fine. Any light schedule will do but more light equals more growth. I did notice denser buds with a sleep regiment, but it was different genetics so hard to say if the night helps dense up the bud. And I wouldn't advise moving in and out , like sick said, you can carry bugs in without noticing, one bug loaded with eggs can destroy you.

I don't even take clones unless I inspect the grow room it came from. Plants can have problems that clones don't show , and I don't want no scrubs, lol, nothing but MY genetics selected from multiple plants from seeds I myself purchased, grew, tested, and than take clones that are of primo stock. Never trust what someone tells you. People just don't know any better realistically, one man thinks he's the man because he completed a closet grow for a few ounces of crap pot that because he put so much time into is blinded by false reality onto thinking they got good shit. So always get your own seeds and start from scratch. That makes a marijuana cultivator. If you just buy 8" clones, stick em under a hps and rush for finish you are a plant sitter. NOT a grower. Master everything from germination to cure /cloning, cross pollination, selection, and then call your self a grower. My point is don't trust plant sitters.

You're the man thanks! I'll avoid moving outside than, I live deep in the country so I'm pretty far away from civilization, that's why I thought taking advantage of sunlight would be useful, but I didn't fully think of bugs still a noob, but I'll be transplanting here in a few as soon as I'm off work. I'm currently using some cfls on a clamp, and switching to led as soon as my order arrives. Any nutrients you would reccomend I'm using just regular organic soil, with a bunch of worm castings in it. And when would I start using nutrients and about how much. Sorry so many questions just trying to pick a growers brain a little bit.
