I grow in bags similar

and have found its best to really allow them to dry out

see it as an aero pruning thing like with aero pots

I wished them bags for tomatoes perhaps had handles ...lol

good luck

New thread?

They look the same as in your other thread.

Ok
Yeah I think I'm going to make this official grow thread. And btw I didn't lst them, I topped one of them to try out what a member said with his experience. And the others I just left them right now and if they get taller i will lst the other 2

They usually dry out after like a day in a half. I put my finger under the soil a little bit and it feels dry. I'm maintaining around 80 degrees with 40% humidity

There is a journal section, might be better placed there.

nice plants. in the last pic is the plant in the middle the one you topped?
Actually I didn't end up topping or LST'ing any of them!! The middle looks like it's LST'ing by itself the way some of those branches are growing out its weird

Yeah that's what I was gonna do. I was going to just experiment one for my first time. But I decided to just leave them. I've been tucking leaves under different ones for best exposure to light. And at about 6 weeks. I am going to cut some of the bigger fan leaves out

To my mostly untrained eye they look great :bigjoint: I wasn't shy about defoliating my auto. Mostly a few fan leaves that weren't contributing anything IMO. It seems to get light better to the flowering spots.

How heavy you running nutrients at this point? I stayed pretty conservative myself.

Thanks for you're input dude! I haven't started defoliating at all but I plan on it in another week. I did clip a couple leaves off a week ago. Since then I've just been massaging and tucking leaves under other leaves to get the best light in there. And I am currently feeding them only once a week. I think this next week I may step it up to twice a week. Because they are handling the nute feeding schedule so far so I think I'll be safe with twice a week. And I will be adding in tiger bloom the 3rd nutrient in the fox farm liquid trio pack at the end of this week coming up which would be 5 weeks give or take a couple days, I haven't kept exact track of how old they are

Those fan leaves take in the rays from the sunlight and convert them to sugars that are used as food for the plant to grow those buds

I didn't defoliate heavy at all, just what I thought needed to go. Mostly lower leaves that weren't getting light. I felt they were consuming more resources then helping, also wanted more airflow. But, I hear ya. I went very easy.
I did cut one or two strategically located fan leaves that I felt were blocking up and coming colas after some LST. I also transplanted, lol. Form a solo to a 3 gallon airpot. So I guess I do some semi-taboo shit with an auto, but it worked out. I'm pretty happy with my results so far.

How old are you're auto's that you're currently growing?
