64 oz cups?

Good luck! I remember reading in one of fdd's threads that he would feed his monsters in the morning and then flush them at night before bed. I wonder if that might be a good way to handle the lesser amount of soil and higher probability of build ups etc in the cups?

This guy is fast! I know how it is. I'll believe it when I see it! You seen it and on it!. props.
May I suggest covering those cups to block light from the roots.

I was wondering about daily flushing too. seems that the soil will dry fast with so little of it and watering would probably be a daily event. now keeping the propper amount of nutes in the soil will take a little playin around, like try different amounts with different cups and flush some at night and some not. what ever produces the best results, run with it. I must say that I was rather skeptical about the amount of soil, but looks like I was just not thinkin out of the box. if it works with rock whool cubes then why not with small amounts of soil as the medium. drink that soda faster and get em planted............this is turning out to be interesting.

Yes this can totally work, root bound is bullshit, only bad growers get this problem.
If you can provide the roots with a good amount of food and water, they wont go searching for any.

btw if anyone disagrees, ill prove you wrong.

I resent that comment!!! I'm a very GOOD grower and have had some problems with rootbound plants...it's just SOME plants don't like it and others are tolerent. So next time...keep your rude comments to yourself.

you know you may have somethin there about the strains

I just transplanted 3 of my plants into bigger pots (outdoors)... suprisingly... the hashberries that wer about a week apart were much more fuller in the root system than my blueberrysour clone that has been vegging for 2 weeks longer than any of them.... then again... the blueberry sour didnt grow as fast either... strain/genes matter im sure...

lets keep the piece in here though.... people opinions and testimonies based on experience shouldnt be flamed... im sure we are all able to grow... Isnt this a pot forum..... sometimes it seems to be a meth forum... jesus..

:peace:

Lol...ya no kidding. I'll also add that if you want short plants get small plants...you want big plants get big pots. The bigger the root system grows the bigger the plant will grow...it will only grow according to it's enviroment.

that would be why planting in the dirt vs in 5 gallon pots ...or even trashcans makes a diference... I think FDD proves that.... hehehehe
