I don't understand your question, are you asking why you don't pull as much when using synthetics vs organics?

I yield more in hydro. Even in rich organic soil, I yield a lot more when I feed every watering with botanicare pure blend. It is a no till with tomatone, red wigglers and all the amendments.

Yes, mainly the malted barley. I'll water the bin with coconut water every once in a while. But a top dress with malted barley every week makes the worms go crazy. They love it

I wonder if that's what came in the separate bag with the worms? , they call it worm fattening food, but it does look just like some kind of milled grain

No, it was my own mix. Not too elaborate, but still rich and balanced. Feel like the worms balance and neutralize everything.

a hydro grow usually outperforms in the sense of yields, especially at first, but after you get good at it, it'll be reaaally close.
But depending on your soil mix, it's probably from not enough nitrogen, or too many uncycled nutrients

I was kind of thinking that, too about the nitrogen. Have all of you done comparisons with hydro?

years and years ago.
The only comparison I do is when I see other products.
I just came back from hempcon in san Francisco, and the herb there was 98% hydro, and it wasn't impressive at all.
ONE booth there had herb that was worth a shit, the rest was CRAP.

I yielded more in hydro, it's like feeding a plant with an intravenous drip, if you were fed like this everyday without having to find food, you'd be fat as fuck, but also unhealthy as fuck, same principles apply IMO

The reason you see better results when adding bottled ferts to you 'supersoil', is probably because that soil is dead or out of balance, if there's a living nutrient cycling process going on, 'controlled by the plant', it will kill bottled nutes in soil.

Ahhh i see... well brother, ya got no nutrients in there man.
You need more inputs.
Alfalfa meal, crab meal, comfrey, manures, something.
That mix won't grow much flower..

I didn't know what worm mating looked like then, and thought they were eating/crawling through each other, it took a couple of you tube videos to calm my nerves..........pmsl

never used em myself, no real access to em, I drink tea, I'm from England......pmsl, joking apart, worms do love used tea bags. From what I've read though, there's plenty of n there, they're just slow to break down

worms didn't like it, plants didn't either.
It'd take a full 10 days for them to breakdown coffeegrinds, and um.. well... I drink coffee EVERY day..
Besides, the fruit that I give the worms they love, and they decimate that in like 2 days.
The worms would eat it if there was nothing else, but they wouldn't eat it at all if there is fruit in the bin..
They def have their preferences..
grapes, melons, avocados, pears, peaches... all frozen, thawed, and mashed into a slimy mess

Well, depends on your intentions.
But neem meal/cake is what you want. But it does need to cycle, wouldn't use it without cycling the soil, unless it's tiny ass amounts
