the state of the trichs isnt going to have that much effect on the high.

strain genetics and ratios of compounds are whats important. some strains for example have amber trichs from the beginning.

all the experienced growers i know dont even look at trichs. the plant looks done..i last said a month on the 13th..
with your last pic yesterday..im still thinking yhe same
its not ready man. and double harvests have never given my good luck, atleast on my sativas.
in general an 8 week strain usually takez 9-10





if you wanna chop some, hold it till you take the rest, significantly later, what yiur talking about is what almost every new grower does but..go for it, best way to learn is experience
we all can tell your dying to harvest

Dude I snip buds early all the time. I usually take a lower branch. You can vape it right away but it will taste like crap. It won't hurt a thing to snip a little off early. Nice btw.

why i said double harvests have never given good luck on my sativas.
snip top mature buds the plant tries to maintain homeostasis, the base leaves on the next still growing bud will expand/extend and make your nug leafy or trim a pain..

and ya itll taste bad plus not get you as high with all the water content..


if your trying to decide how or when yiu like to harvest. i would let it dry and cure as normal

if you dont try and fix shes gon be all leaf man. theres little bud , little trich production. and still clear btw

might be too late though. i assume you never tried...better luck next time i guess

if you manage to stop leaf abscission and it starts to pregress as normal, id say 3 weeks and its done, possibly 2 for an early

I can fix them I just don't really know what I could change to make them better. Any tips on what to do to fix them?

Well I snipped this little guy. Weighs 1.50g after trim, Wet. It's drying now in a jar with no lid, in ano enclosed cardboard box with many holes poked in side for airflow. IMG_20160125_215435.jpg
I think this plant has self reproduced. I have found many seeds on the bud. I found what I believe are premature seeds. They LOOK like a little bud. But have a hard clear marble structure in them. Other regular buds don't have this, only some. Do I have to wait for all of the premature seeds to mature, so that they won't be mistaken for smokable herb after harvest? Any advice, this is my 1st plant and I was definitely not expecting any seeds from this plant.

They won't mature after you chop afaik. If there are more on the rest of the plant that you haven't chopped, another couple weeks growing and you may have some mature seeds.

I just hope I can clearly tell them apart from the bud. And not get any mixed into my smoke. I will probably just stash the seeds for later use.

ya i thought about saying something, in a trich pic i think on the previous page, you have evident pollination.

your gonna end up with ~25% of wet weight. the little baby seeds can be more of a pain, might pop if you burn a few but nothing bad will happen if you smoke them. seeded bud does not give a headache like some believe


you really should wait a few weeks and ty to help the plant along the way. its not in the "early harvest" stage yet

That's a pretty little bud. Yeah too soon to cut, but if you need some smoke it won't hurt anything to snip a little hear and there. If it's pollinated it's just pollinated. If I was you I would let some of the buds run long so you got you some seeds. They're probably hermy but, what's done is done. Those seeds won't hurt you. You should be able to clean them out and just smoke the bud. Many of us had to that for years.

You can't really pay much attention to the ignant bitch ass drama queens on RIU. They just a buncha oh my god the sky is falling trifling skeeredy cat bitches looking to rain on someone's parade.

Seriously. I vaped half a plant once when I was outta smoke. I snipped on that bitch for weeks. It looked like shit when it came time to harvest. It was a DNA Lemon Skunk. It was all good tho cause I harvested a Dinafem at the same time. That one I left alone except for a few testers.

You'll be fine bro. Tune these drama bitches out. :bigjoint:
