Pretty sure P def? Help please...

-I have 3 SLHs going that are about a month old. They are staked down, have been topped twice and are in FFOF in 5 gal smart pots.
-the issue is on #2, I have been looking all over at photos and research and a Phosporous deficiency is what I feel might be the issue, I would really like some input from experienced growers and possibly fixes or maybe other things you may think it might be...

This is #1 and looking great so far


This is #3, looks more indica leaning, but seems healthy

(Below) #2 main issue, it's happening on a few other spots but this is the worst.

Id say more likely nute burn. How often are you feeding and what?

I am using fox farm trio and will be starting the granulars as soon as I get this squared away. I feed every 7-10 days at half strength. I noticed on one of the spots there was a crusty outline, and I was wondering if maybe I splashed some onto the leaves...

Also use Ca/Mg, ArmorSi and Great White.

I also noticed some pics of Ca def and Manganese def looked similar to my issues. The next set of leaves isn't showing this problem so I'm hoping that I fixed it just by leaving it alone for like a week.

So im going to guess with the led light, new smart pots, and turkey pans this is your first grow?
Id guess your running fox farm ocean forest for soil? Heres the thing about the ocean forest. It has enough food to grow for a month or more in a five gallon grow bag. Your feeding. Theres no deficiancies. Only burn. Your leaves are clawing. Type clawing into the search bar and see what the reasons are.
My advice is to flush the soil with hmmm, lets say 15 gallons of water and then dont feed again for three weeks. They should make a full recovery in two weeks. Good luck.

I'm no expert but I can say something is wrong with your plants. Healthy leaves are flat, not puffy. I had plants with a similar syndrome a couple of years ago and I fixed them by giving tap water only (~160ppm, ~pH6.7)

This is actually my third grow, however first w the Fox Farm. The SLHs actually haven't been under the 'new' LED light. The 'new' LED light is currently on its second flowering run. Both of which have been pretty outstanding, but were in ProMix. It sounds like adding nutrients to the FF soil is what did it.
By the way I haven't really found runoff pans that both fit a 5gallon smart pot AND are easily moved around, so $.98 pans that can get dented and thrown around are actually pretty perfect.

Im not knockin ya. I used tupperware for a long time I did the same thing when i went from dwc to ffof soil. I burnt the hell outta my plants. I run soiless right now so i can see how transitioning from soiless to soil could end up with some burn. Oh and usually you can find some cheat drip catchers at home depot in the garden section in the summer. Every substrate has its challenges, don't feel bad, it happens and its not that bad.

Tag you're it alienwidow haha. I just need to get used to it. My first grow was just complete dumb luck from seed to harvest everything went smooth. Then this current grow is half harvested and I hit my first road bump w some moldy buds. Now my third grow is F'ing up in vegg haha, I'm regressing. Nah but seriously I apologize for earlier I forget sometimes that sarcasm and joking don't always come through in text. I do appreciate your input.

I am encouraged though that both people have suggested simply flushing w clean pH'd water and not something all complex and shit.

This hobby takes so many years and disasters to master it. Everyone figures its as easy as growing money trees. HAAA! Ya right. Its hard as hell and full of disasters! The one good thing about disasters is that once they happen you can see them coming in the future, but if theyve never happened to you theyll blind side you like an outta control bus. Trust me, whatever can go wrong usually will.

Don't "flush" - simply water only till they show they need nutrient!

Don't feed OF for 4 weeks - You have high N. Unless you REALLY know what your doing - DON'T use the FF solubles !! Way to high in P&K

Why wouldnt you want all the extra fox farm nutrient line up poured into the soil flushed out of there? I wouldnt think the burn and curl would just stop without leaching all that extra food out.

It will and it could real easy become a problem of low pH with extended periods of wet from a "leech" that size!
If you really want to do a leech out, a simple water to run off of about 2 cups will work better and have less pH impact now and down the road.

In reality, when you have a small tox problem like the OP has in his pictures. It will be FAR more productive to simply water with a 1/2 dose of Ca/Mg for a week and then simply water till you need nutrient - around 3-4 weeks. They will show all "repair" in the new growth and take off quite nice once balanced back out!

not EVERYTHING is leech able, it will leave a build up of those things. Why not just use water and let the plant use up the excess, non leech able and leech able minerals?

Ah, ok, whenever i pound my soiless too hard and have high ppms coming out the bottom i blast water through it until its better. I figured it would be the same for soil. Gottcha.

that is why I always recommend soiles for use with nutes and soil for organics.

I would keep using the synthetics and learn about organic if I wanted to keep using soil, or switch to soiless the next time if I wanted to keep using synthetics.
